"Hmmm anyone might start seeing some connections here. The govt cuts funding to the Environment Agency forging said agency to reduce the number of sewage monitors. Then the govt votes to allow water companies to increase the amount and frequency of raw sewage entering our rivers and sea. Part of the initial business case for water companies to lobby and justify increased sewage dumping was/is a lack of chemicals coming in from the EU due to Brexit red tape. So they can exploit a lowering of standards now the UK is out of the EU. So much winning!!!!!!" The EU could have at any time relaxed rules to expedite the chemicals by as usual they have weaponised it

Put dirty Wastewater in a continious flow tank, add Floc and mix with air for 4 to 6 hours, settle out the solids to recycle as this 'Floc' was the treatment fauna component and clear water falls over the weirs. One never ending continuous cycle. Floc being the bacteria that literally eats shit. I spent 14 years running one. The main chemical if any, was a dose of lime to digestion sludge before it was sprayed on land if it was acidic. The biggest cost of Wastewater Treatment - Energy, so water bills are due to rise.
