I think the infrastructure / network in the UK is poor outside the major cities and that plays a huge part in work and attitudes. I also think it depends on how we define lazy. If I take my car to a garage for a tyre, and they suck in air and tell me they can't do anything for a couple of days, but they are sitting around do nothing, do I see lazy or people on a break? I think we have a society that wants everything now, and people in jobs who don't want to play that game. As a nation, we can play the bloody minded not doing it, up theirs and who they think they are cards, rather well. I would put us close second to the French, I think we kept those genes. | |||

I have worked in high union membership companies and all they did all day long was make things difficult for the company and others who just wanted to get on with working. | |||
