Now you can say “…. Boris will be gone by xxx”

Tonight, end of the week or at very most 10-14 days

Tonight could happen if Gove stabs him (this time would be to his face!)

Interesting that Wallace is staying loyal … he is currently a front runner for the top job and would be my first choice prediction for next leader / PM

Watch what Morduant says - she is also a possibility.

Now it’s a safe bet … Off down the bookies

Stockport

Finished as prime minister, finished as a member of parliament, finished as a politician, finished in public life, finished as an employable person. Depending on who gets the job, and on what dirt about him they allow to be revealed, possibly even finished as a free man. Oh, and he's had his last blow job from Carrie.

Hmmmm I may have been a little premature with my “the end is nigh” thread

Word on the street is he is going to carry on

Very bullish

New chancellor and health sec coming as soon as tonight. PM declares ‘it’s easier to deliver tax cuts’ with the exit of Sunak.

You really do have to admire his dogged tenacity

Dorries for Chancellor? That would be hilarious.

I can't even think of anyone that is talentless enough for him to put them into health.

Anybody that stands by him now are going to find their careers finished at the same time as he goes.

Really? This is when the money really rolls in. Tony Blair, net worth £60 million. Reputed to make £1 million a month from Private Speeches.

Nick Clegg enemy of the Young Uni' hopefuls charges $300,000 per speech.

We're in the money,

We're in the money;

We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!

We're in the money,

The sky is sunny;

Old Man Depression, you are through,

You done us wrong!

Who's betting that the new Chancellor and health sec have the shortest time in their positions of any minister ever. Given the job tonight. Government could be gone by tomorrow.

By the way, does anyone believe that there isn't even more dirt going to come out during the next 24 hours?

I would definitely count on it. The first rule of politics is to stick the knife in deep when the enemy falters, and this is a major falter.

Saved bits of damning info are going to come out in a flood because now is the best time to release them.

Gotta love politics

. Only a small number of the population are Boris haters . Maybe back to reality . He has a majority that other parties can only dream about and even at the recent by elections if both results were added together the Conservatives still beat the other parties. It does not look like either Kier Starmer or Ed Davey could even get close to the position where they would have to resign as PM. Insufficient people want them.

Boris has no need to resign . He is a competent individual who is unfazzled by problems . Winning an 80 seat majority has really rattled the Boris bashers

In some ways it is unfair that he stays on as Prime Minister as he could be making millions elsewhere. I guess that must be Boris s sense of public duty.

The interesting thing is there are new 1922 committee elections next week…and I bet the rules are changed so they can have another leadership challenge

2 weeks tops….

Possible yes, there'll be more resignations tomorrow..

This is the end game, it's how long they the Tory party Grandees want this to go on with the damage it causes them as a party..

One thing the Tories are historically efficient at is when the time comes to wield the knife they don't hesitate regardless of the personality, Boris and more importantly his cabinet know this and it's the latter who will be looking after their own prospects going forward..
