Something has to be done, I can’t think of any other type of protest that would work

the petrol blockades by angry landowners two decades ago didn't work and they went on for ages though. do you think these stand a better chance?

couple, us we him her.

I genuinely believe that protests could bring the entire country to a standstill and Boris and Pals wouldn't care less.

Diesel is well over £2 in many areas not sure when it's going to end.

Complaining about the cost of fuel but then spend all day driving around burning off fuel on a pointless protest.

Obviously they can afford the price if they can use it to do dumb things like that.!

Personally I'm using my car far less these days and only when I need to.

The price will soon come down if everyone stops buying it.

electric use has dropped 10% in 10 years. according to that little fascist mantra about demand, electric bills should've consistantly dropped over the last decade.

£2.09 today when I filled up.

I’m on their side. Unless they are in my way when I go to work.

But something must be done.

it'll be interesting to see any difference in support for people who block roads who are pro-fossil fuel and those who block roads because they are anti fossil fuel.

"it'll be interesting to see any difference in support for people who block roads who are pro-fossil fuel and those who block roads because they are anti fossil fuel. "

Well, one lot glued themselves to the road and made sure that no one could move, and the other lot kept going at 30mph on the motorway to ensure they weren't breaking any laws. So yes, I would expect there to be a difference in support.

actually a number of them were arrested for purposely driving at less than 30mph despite police warnings not to.

"...on the M4 today among other locations. are they right or wrong? "

Bit frickin stupid playing your Dukes of Hazard horn (illegal modification), and holding and reading you mobile phone while driving at 30mph on a motorway while your passenger live streams it on Twitter.

Notice of Intended Prosecution in the post no doubt. 6 points and £200 fine plus Victims Surcharge heading that way.

We're all pissed at fuel prices, but why hold people up and force them to crawl at 30mph on a motorway only to burn more fuel.

There are other ways...

Yes. The government won't stand for anyone who suggests we should use less fossil fuels and not heat the planet to a crisp.

With Norwegians on strike and the fire at a Texas fuel facility and the war in Ukraine Prices this winter looks bleak for everyone.

Norwegian strike was called off yesterday, close shave as even in summer 45%-65% of our electricity is from Gas, 39% of it from Norway.

Notice potential Black Outs wasn't in the news yesterday. You're absolutely spot on that winter for the UK and EU is going to be bleak.

On top of Texas, Putin is already restricting EU Gas supply enough that they cannot fill up Winter storage.

That's when it will bite, all scrabbling for what remains and to the highest bidder - no doubt BMWs will still be made.

Liquid Petroleum Gas on standby here.

Apparently the UK is helping a bit with the EU storage as lots of LNG is being delivered in the UK and sent via pipes to the EU storage. The quantities has contributed to the largest ever exports figures to the EU

What's that supposed to mean ?

Don't you realise we get a huge amount of gas from mainland Europe?

Should we refuse to help out fellow Europeans because Boris the cunt made us an look like a bunch of primitive arsewipes

don't get too excited. it's forcast that when the flow reverses in september as it does every autumn, the gas imports from europe will dwarf the exports by a factor of 12

I think the extra we are getting recently is coming from Qatar. As I understand it, America has been supplying LNG for years
