Their "supporters" won't actually give two fucks.....

Whereas the rest of the world that stayed in, hunkered down, couldn't visit friends relatives etc, couldn't go to work because they were furloughed or laid off, those who worked through pandemic in NHS and other key jobs those who got fined for "breaching lockdown rules" will be choking on their lunches today hearing that the buffoon and the entitled rich were pissing it up on a regular basis and concocting excuses and reasons to get round it

For those parents not allowed to sit with dying kids or those with close relatives banned from hospitals I’m sure this will reassure them of what a fine upstanding person he is.

Those who defend this lying bastard should hang your heads in shame .

You claim patriotism and yet you let the scumbag do as he pleases and all while he laughs at the democratic society which people have worked hard for and even died for.

Truly patriotic people would want this disgusting person out of office . Guess people aren’t that patriotic after all .

Depends on what you class as a supporter? Voters? We will find out eventually I guess. At the time I had never known such anger from the public to a serving PM. It has dissipated due to the Ukraine war and time.

I know a lot of lifelong Conservative voters that are disgusted with them.

The brilliant thing is that we don’t know which event he has been fined for… bearing in mind that the met are investigating 12-16 events, he could end up with multiple fines for multiple events….

And he could appeal it… but if he loses that appeal it then becomes a full on proper criminal record

Until a GE we the British Public can not change his status as our current PM - Only his Party or Parliament can do that.

Until they do/or do not that - the rest is just waffle and wish for !

If he led the conservatives into another GE would I vote for him? Most probably not. But more importantly is who the other guy will be - Starmer? Very definitely not.

The tories have a problem because Boris has surrounded himself with yes men and women. The ability to be an able minister is looking beyond those in power. The culling of pro EU MPs due to Brexit has left a huge void where there once was at least sone ability to run a government. The Tory party is looking empty of talent and credibility.

Liz Truss FFS what an embarrassment .

Brighton

I was listening to LBC in the car earlier when the news if the fines for Johnson, Carrie and Sunak came out. I still find it completely weird how many people still defend him. Some people were saying “just a party, nobody cares”.

However, it was a balanced call and about 50:50 support/oppose.

But what really struck home was a lady who had lost her mother to Covid. And this is why many people ARE angry...

Over 150,000 people have died of/with Covid. A huge amount of those died ALONE. No family or loved ones beside them. No goodbyes. No last cuddle of kiss. Husbands, wives, children, parents, grandparents. Dead and died ALONE!

And at the same time these despicable people were having parties. Having made the laws that prevented people from seeing their dying family members, these cu7ts partied.

They are loathsome, disgusting excuses for human beings. If they had one shred of decency they would resign. They won’t because they don’t.

They have done so many things to make people angry but this really is the icing on the cake.

They are laughing at the plebs and cannot believe their luck that a significant chunk of the electorate are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome!

Quite shocking

"Pay the fine, Boris - just like the other 117 thousand people have had to. (and that was just the tip of the iceberg, there must have been a trillion more who didn't get caught!!

Don't be late in paying, either.

Or - refund every single other fine.

Or don't lie to the nation

Exactly, I wonder if the other 117,000 people lied to parliament?

Not being politicians the answer is simple - but they did lie to everyone else.

You know your place as well

A semantically null sentence.

Forelock tugger? Do what they say, not what they do? You must hate your country

Oh I love my country - very very much. What I don't like so much is the self haters!

I don't support Boris in the slightest. lmfao - and I've already said pay the fine or refund all the others.

Hold the title of PM is a great honour, Boris isn’t fit, if you think he should say then you hate your country

This hits the nail on the head.

People who vote Tory don't really care about anything like this. They have the belief that there are only two options, and that the other option is somehow even worse.

And when we experience it being better, that's who they will vote for. "

Lol.

They have to vote for someone less self serving first to experience it.

I blame the class system, the working class tories are ‘programmed’ to defer to their superiors, they feel inferior to anyone who went to a private school or has a ‘posh ‘ accent "

I think the media plays a role. People seem convinced that this government is as good as it gets, and don't have any aspirations for anything better.

"It'll be interesting to see which Tories do and don't come out to defend Johnson now in public. If there's a deafening silence, Johnson is on his way out."

A lot are saying it's "not the right time"....

Rumours the Graham Brady is knocking about in Westminster right now

How strange. I'm sure I remember a bunch of Tories saying we just had to wait and see for the Met investigation to be completed. We have waited. And we do bloody see...
