Thats great to hear been a long time coming and a necessity in my opinion.

Remember people slagging Nicola off when she wanted to do it up here.

She’s only committed to look into the possibility I believe, but hopefully action will be taken. Needs sorting.

Don't hold your breath.

Apparently they're dropping the ban on conversion therapy.

This government will say anything in the moment and then ignore it later.

So will this list be accessible to anyone or only in certain abusive situations?

Think the one they are talking about is only applicable where legal charges are filed

They were talking about one up here that would be accessible to everyone and also be public knowledge

I like the idea of been able to look up whether a person has convictions of Domestic abuse, how ever I feel it could be used by a nasty ex to tell lies...sad but some people are like that unfortunately

It cannot be used by a “nasty ex” of any sex because for it to be proven it, it has to have gone to a criminal trail and proved as such. Therefore any person of any sex should be protected.

Yes the English one will be based on criminal history

I was talking about a different one that was going to be implemented in Scotland that would be a public one.You know the system the English kept attacking?,Now their doing their own.

Patel is all talk and soundbytes. She does not follow through on anything she says. She is a complete waste of time and space.

Just want to use this to remind people you can use Clares Law to check if a partner or potential partner has a history of abuse.

This is one of the issues with this type of list. So few of these cases actually get to court, let alone result in a conviction.

Therefore, there will be a huge pool of abusers never on that list.

But at least a small percentage will find it more difficult to repeat their behaviour.

I see there's no mention of female abusers being put on the register. More misandry.

Those are some heavily rose tinted glasses you have on there. A woman's word carries a lot of weight in these situations. Men have been imprisoned on a mere accusation on many occasions. Many men have also lost thier children to lies from a spiteful ex. This kind of thing can and does happen all the time.
