They always knew that this would happen and didn't vote based on an economic improvement or to improve society but voted to get away from being controlled by an unelected beaurocratic parliament in Brussels with the preference to being controlled by a goverment that is in power due to a system that allows a party with a minority vote (per head of population) to have a majority of 80 seats in parliament and which is kept in check by a governing body where the members are either heredity or awarded their place by the goverment who happens to be in power. Yet still - those who voted for this will say, in total honesty( and I really believe this to be the case), that given the opportunity again, they would still vote to leave the EU. Stuff the consequences - it is better to be out than in. However, we live in a democratic society (do we?) and surely it can only get better...can't it? | |||
