"We're not stuck in a group with members that's more concerned about covering it's own arse? " People are dying and you want to criticise other countries to try and make a brexit point? ffs Have you seen who’s been funding our government. Have you heard of the covering up of a Russian influence investigation ? Talk about glass houses! Germany has changed its decades old policy of non intervention to now send weapons to Ukraine. That’s some arse covering.

"We're not stuck in a group with members that's more concerned about covering it's own arse? You mean the collective group of states that carries more clout and influence than 'Global Britain' ... I wonder if Macron was ever paid £250,000 to play tennis with the wife of Putins ex finance minister? ... But hey its not dodgy money because they 'paid' the correct amount of millions to get a golden visa and citizenship, no questions asked. Or have paid a million to sit on the conservative party 'advisory board' with direct access to senior ministers. " And they are disunited and would rather Ukraine suffers than they can't sell diamonds, handbags etc. I'm happier out

It’s not a competition ffs as I see it the EU and the uk are stepping up and so is the rest of the world but by bit. Every country has to make sure they are not breaking rules of engagement as per treaties ect so as not to give the Warmonger Putin cause for retaliation. The time will come soon enough but that’s not a reason to escalate it faster than it needs. Best we can hope dem is for one of his generals to pop a bullet between his eyes at the moment.

"We're not stuck in a group with members that's more concerned about covering it's own arse? " You realise that every single EU mrmber, and that included the UK prior to Brexit, is sovereign? If anything, being in the EU is the best way to put pressure on others so they would follow your lead?

" Everyday Russians need to see the kleptocracy around them, where the money has been siphoned off and kept in western countries, the West need to open the books and show where their money has been spent on their oiigarchs on luxury Yachts and mansions in London. Whilst they a desperately scrambling to get money out of the bank, they need to know where their stolen money has gone. When someone finds out they have been robbed is a far more stronger message than saying Russians soldiers are fighting. Follow the money open the books and show how they have been robbed over the past 30 years. They will be so pissed off.

"EU stepping up? Two weeks too late and they know it. Just how do you get 4000 anti tank weapons and 500 stinger into Ukraine now? They'll have to fight their way in actually using the weapons supplied. Nice to see the Ukrainian soldiers using using Russian captured shoulder launched weapons against the invaders. Not sure leaning them up against a wall was a wise idea though. " Nothing is impossible, what is it necessity is the mother of invention.

"The uk were out there training their troop and supplying anti tank missiles as soon as it was clear the Russians were going to invade the Eu sent a few thousand helmets now thank god the eu has stepped up lets hope its not too late. The uk called for the banning of swift along with the usa ages ago the u opposed it now the eu has stepped up again. The uk are one step ahead of the eu every time thats the benefit of being outside the eu. " So which of those things would not have been possible when the UK was part of the EU ? Isn't there an old saying that "together we are stronger" ?

I don't know if you're making fun of the kind of misunderstanding brexit people have. Regardless, there are people out there who still think Brexit is a good idea. And some of them have have absolutely no idea what the EU is, and how it works. Which is utterly mind boggling.

All countries in the European Union can act faster individually and are free to do so , however when the EU does act it has far more influence and strength than the U.K. on its own. I think that’s fact too.
