Ah I remember well all that tough policing from yesteryear when cops broke down the doors of hardened criminals and chucked questionnaires at them.

'Have ya got a pen?' they'd shout. 'Have ya? We can give you 1 if you haven't'

And who says the law doesn't treat us all equally?

Boris has had to employ a lawyer to help him fill in this questionnaire

I think the real problem is: how will he avoid lying on this questionnaire? That seems to be his response to most things.

Paid from his own pocket or funded by the tax payer?

He’s going to walk away from this as the way it being handled just gives the lawyers free reign. The police have said they won’t disclose many penalties . Why not?

Based on his past form, he'll likely get a donor to pay for it. Then he'll lie about it.

Seems like a good plan. Why not.

itv got their hands on a Partygate questionnaire.

According to criminal law barrister Andrew Keogh: the questionnaire "suggests that this is not a thorough investigation".

He said the questions posed are "as basic as you can possibly imagine them to be".

"It just suggests that there's no effort going into any real investigation of ascertaining who did what when and where and why."

"This is anything but a rigorous investigation, it's the direct opposite," he said, "there's just no effort gone into this at all".

And former Met Police Chief Superintendent Dal Babu told ITV News the questions were "pretty bland" and that a "lawyer would perhaps give you a 'get out of jail card' in response to all of those questions".

"That's why it doesn't seem to be a particularly effective way of investigating the parties that have happened at Downing Street."

"What you would expect is somebody to sit down with the individual, go through the questions," he added.
