At this stage it’s a case of how much more she would get now, and how much lawyers fees would accumulate in a protracted trial! She will sign an NDA, he will claim the settlement doesn’t reflect or signal any sign of guilt .. the world moves on

"American “civil claims” are an absolute joke and I can tell you that from personal experience. Filing a lawsuit in America is the proverbial get rich quick scheme. A lawsuit can be filed simply on the claims made by the claimant (Plaintiff as they call them in America) and those claims can stand until deposition and in this time the discovery process is designed to simply overwhelm defendants and in many cases is used as a fishing exercise. Prince Andrew faced public humiliation in a discovery process which would have embarrassed the royal family and brought untold and unwanted publicity. I (and my companies) were sued multiple times when I had businesses in America and one case is still going on since 2016. That case is based on 8 claims made by the plaintiff that are manifestly and demonstrably false, but which can’t be proven until the plaintiff is deposed and his Attorney is trying to litigate the case to a conclusion prior to that by over burdensome discovery (for example - supply every email that you sent and received between certain dates, supply copies of all employee and contractor payment records between certain dates etc etc). The delays are being caused by massive over-litigation and challenges back on our part. They just want to wear you down so that you will pay - even though the claim in itself is manifestly untrue. The logic is that if they can get you to pay what you might expect to have to pay by the time you get to deposition without having to turn your life inside out, you will likely choose the easier route, even if it is morally unthinkable to pay money to a liar. Don’t judge Prince Andrew because of what he has done, judge the American legal system for being an absolute joke." Judge the person in the docks action not the system that put then there. Saving the reputation of the royals is a feable excuse when his mother has already effectivley sacked him.
