I do not see many people laughing at the Uk apart from those who do not believe in democracy and are incapable of accepting election results . An 80 seat majority is self explanatory ( assuming you believe in the electorate process ) and have respect for the views of other voters . Lets see what the next election brings . Pat I have been here long enough to remember your slavish devotion to Theresa May only to seamlessly change profiles and slavishly devote yourself to Boris Johnson, when she got booted. The guy from the FT is right that Truss is a better person than Lavrov in the same way that a baby deer is a nicer animal than a lion. The issue is that you don’t put a baby deer in the ring with a Lion unless the baby deer is fully and wholly briefed about how to handle itself. Not knowing the difference between regions of Ukraine and regions of Russia is as bad as last weeks gaff thinking that Ukraine was a Baltic State. She is Foreign Secretary FFS. Shouldn’t we expect her to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the big, the bad and the ugly and at least know the geography of what she is talking about? | |||

It is the overall balance of what was achieved against what was fucked up that matters in the end. All PM’s that I can remember have done both good and bad, but the current PM doesn’t really have much in the good box at the moment does he?
