There are certain cultures where homophobia is much higher compared to western countries. It is normal for a gay person to be worried when many people from those cultures enter the country. It's humanitarian to allow them. But if you do, the country needs the guts to keep them in check when their homophobia shows up. But most people don't do that. Even the ones who openly speak about their homophobia are blamed for being xenophobic and suppressed. When Dawkins/Rowling posts a tweet, the entire liberal community goes berserk about how it hurts the LGBT community. There are certain cultures where homophobia is much higher compared to western countries. It is normal for a gay person to be worried when many people from those cultures enter the country. It's humanitarian to allow them. But if you do, the country needs the guts to keep them in check when their homophobia shows up. But most people don't do that. Even the ones who openly speak about their homophobia are blamed for being xenophobic and suppressed. When Dawkins/Rowling posts a tweet, the entire liberal community goes berserk about how it hurts the LGBT community. But when it comes to real issues like the Islamic groups protesting against LGBT education, these people go into radio silence. One of ex-labour MPs named Godsiff actually supported the protesters and said that parents have the rights to choose what the kids are learning. These protestors were campaigning in support of Godsiff in the next election. He didn't win obviously. If he had won, he would have legislated something to allow the parents to stop their kids from learning those subjects. | |||
