A thread about "our" PM

I didnt vote for this guy but hes been in office for over 2yrs now.

I gave him a chance to see what people saw in him as a PM.

So far I think hes done a terrible job running things.

Handled the pandemic really bad with his policies and given contract hand outs to most of his mates not to mention what he did with care homes etc.

Now this with the Afghanistan situation and the possible knock on effect for years to come and the backlash from his own party yesterday.

Do you think he needs to go?

Did you vote for him and if so how do you think he has faired as a PM?

Him

It makes no difference who is in office, we have made it clear that this country is tory dominated and that's the way it always will be. People don't want change, they want to continue the same pattern until it completely fucks us all. It's all judgement for tories now but as soon as election season comes around, the media will be highly dominated by negative labour press and we all just play into their hands. As long as the finger is pointing at the opposition and the blame for our downfall is laid at the voters door, they will always win.

I think the man is an utter cretin. I would not have him clean my boots let alone run the country. He came to power on a swathe of lies and pandered to the xenophobic elements of the British public. I want him out as soon as possible and he can take all his bloody cronies with him.

I don’t seem to understand how labour can be blamed and always be criticised when Tories have been in office for over 10 years. So if things are shocking, there’s only one party to blame really.

And let’s be honest, it’s been quite a 10 year of a crappy gov …

Regarding Boris, I think he’s a proper clown, literally. I don’t think he’s even bothered that he gets caught out lying, and cheating and helping his rich friends out. Wouldn’t even trust giving him my discarded receipt with my chewed chewing gum in it ….

Before he became PM I thought he was a real idiot but, to be honest, I doubt anyone else could have done a better job. It is astounding how much has happened this past 2 years and it is very easy to look back with hindsight and say how we would all have done things differently.

As a nation, we don't want high taxes to pay for the NHS that we moan is underfunded or for investment in the Armed Forces which would need to be many times bigger to allow us to do have done anything differently in Afghanistan.

All I can say is 'thanks to the NHS for the great work you are doing' and 'thank you' to the Armed Forces and their families for the sacrifices they have made over the past 20 years and 'god protect and help the poor people of Afghanistan'.

Just a thought.

I agree with above I reckon most people will slag off there leader to how they handled the pandemic and everyone country has done it differently and not got it right.

Personally what annoys me is the parties can’t work together.

Two major things have happened brexit and COVID.

Brexit they both campaigned to stay in but bitched and fought with each other and the same with COVID.

How do you expect a nation to work together in tough times when you can’t even show the public in a time of crisis you can do the same and not try scoring brownie points.

I’d hate to see what it would be like in a war situation.

Virtually every country in the world is criticising their governments over the handling of covid if you just care to read their news,so no i dont think it has been handled any worse than anywhere else and should be proud of the fast rollout of the vaccine. Also the investment into finding a vaccine in the first place.

Don't think the UK could have done anything in Afghanistan after USA pulled out like that. Help for Afghan interpreters and the like should have happened ages ago though.

Hes about as dodgy and scheming as they come.

Its all about £££s and his pie scoffing bullington club dodgy cronies.

If hes was born into a working class family he'd be a dodgy car salesman or going door to door as a confidence trixter

You are right about needing the USA in there with the Afghan issue. But a good PM and government would have tempered Bidens decision and could have helped to make the pull out more orderly. That’s what good politicians do and what Great Britain is historically famous for.
