When a failed company is found to have made outrageously large contributions and benefits to an ex-prime minister for peddling influence and granting special access to the corridors of power, why is there no sanction?

Both Cameron and Blair - dodgy as they come.

Fast forward a few years and BoJo will be even worse - this is worse than the expenses scandal.

They are paid a fair wage to do a job - no other fees, consulting or ‘training services’ should be allowed. Once they quit (or get fired!) being MPs, then they can’t play at being Consultants for:

MPs - 2 years

Ministers - 5 years

PMs - 10 years

Breaking the law then is a criminal offence…

We cannot restrict what job they do once they stop being a Member of Parliament.

In fact we can - the problem is that those that could change the law won’t because it is way too lucrative…

So we can't then, unless the law is changed. Which imo is ludicrous.

Same for all companies, bank of Scotland paid out big bonuses and then went bust... etc etc... it's about time company directors get chased down like criminals and asset stripped.

I'd make it a rule that no ex MP can do certain jobs thereafter. The whole thing's just far too open to corruption as things stand. As is proved time and time again.
