Welcome acknowledgement of long running and deep UK expertise in this industry.

That said, almost everyone becomes a NIMBY twat to some extent when the thing is right next to where they live.

Would you not have some concerns if it was built backing on to your garden?

What is more interesting is to know if there is an equivalent brownfield site in the area. Greenfield is cheaper for the developers...

its not backing onto anyones garden where they want to build the soundstages only thing near it isan exit of the A1 hence they want to build it there because easy access same with the solar farm its on farm land thats not been used for farming for as long as i can remember, this is also a councilor who tried to put a stop to mobile homes being used for temporary housing so locals dont get shoved in bed and breakfasts out of the area until flat or house becomes available, luckily she didnt get her way with that

Is it necessary to destroy the countryside? Couldn't they find a brownfield site?

The point about backing onto gardens was a general one.

Perhaps you do know that there are absolutely no brownfield sited of an acceptable size anywhere in the,in which case fair enough, otherwise...

cant talk about the one in broxbourne the one they want to chuck up in borehamwood no there are no brownfield sites big enough mainly because every bit of brownfield land has new apartment blocks or identikit housing estates built on it,id say our local population has grown by about 10.000 in the last 6 or 7 years
