Tesla were looking at this site recently, so Rivian may have got in there first.

They are talking to Germany and Hungary too.

That would be awesome if it happens.

But this is their first factory outside their original one in the US. Why would they build in the U.K. versus in the EU? Building in the EU would allow access to a much much larger market without restrictions.

If they do manage to get it in the U.K., you’d have to ask yourself what kind of subsidy did the government give them to offset the trade friction?
