I get them for the most seemingly mundane forum comments.

Wish I could talk about the content as some of them are inadvertently hilarious.

I don’t even bother to block or check if they have blocked me unless it’s particularly abhorrent.It’s words on a screen for me.

Very true

Although I not had abusive messages I have had some that wanted to message me their opinion on the subject being discussed rather than just putting it on the forum. We are all allowed our opinion and obviously they differ but that's no reason for abusive behaviour
