Once again, lack of training, lack of oversight, lack of management, lack of diligence, lack of ownership, lack of responsibility... So sorry for the folks who lost their lives.

Btp criticised..wonder if they will point to the cut backs?

Sounds like there loads of opportunities to stop it happening though.

It's a tough one though because he was probally determined to go through with it.

I'm not sure cutbacks in anything... They were private event security Companies.. They just showed a steward being told about the bomber and walking in the opposite direction.. I suppose you never think its going to happen ans need to be careful taking things out of context but it looks very bad. And 4 btp stood chatting together rather than on station. I'm sure just like 1000 other events that went off previously without incident... But..

Tbf, to be a security guard walking upto a potential suicide bomber to separate him/her from their luggage will take some balls!

Yup

It was a horrible incident

But to lay blame on some miniscule waged security

Is very harsh .

Has to be down to intligence mess ups

Above everything else .

The good news is that there are ONLY 35k on the urgent terrorist watch list (and growing) all using 11 full time personel to watch their every move 24/7, costing the UK tax payer millions.

These resources are now being pulled so the money can be moved for real issues and for real investigations - like non crime hate crimes and spicy tweets.

Onwards and upwards.

. You are 100% correct. Can't keep people safe without profiling. If it acts like a duck and looks like a duck to others it's a pigeon.
