JBC wasn't set up until October so the September one has nothing to do with this.

I won't say Corbyn has done wrong here but let's try keep to what we know as facts.

The facts that I know are that they're looking into JBC/Corbyn.

The declaration in September is as follows:

2. (b) Any other support not included in Category 2(a)

Name of donor: Momentum Campaign (Services) Ltd

Address of donor: Walkden House, 10 Melton Street, London NW1 2EJ

Amount of donation or nature and value if donation in kind: Donation of £50,000

towards my campaign for leadership of the Labour Party. This was previously an

unsecured loan, received and accepted on 12 July 2016. It was converted to a

donation on 24 September 2020.

Date received: 24 September 2020

Date accepted: 24 September 2020

Donor status: company, registration 09654873

(Registered 04 August 2016; updated 24 September 2020)

So in effect it was a loan given in 2016 which was converted to a gift in 2020.

This declaration has nothing to do with legal costs with JBC

Of course

If he has done something wrong

Its just I distinctly remember a thread with a news story from sky saying people had no interest in this type of thing, when Alex was upto to his neck in allegations.

Yet they seem keen on running the story and we have threads from people who were not concerned at what the pm gets upto.

I mean, god forbid there should be double standards on here.

In fairness to sky, you'd be pretty pissed off if they didn't run these stories, regardless of who they are about.

I'd agree with you about the double standards, not only on here but in life in general. That's not gonna change anytime soon I'm afraid

I mean, god forbid there should be double standards on here.Lionel its a politics thread a labour mp writes to the standards committee to look into undeclared funding its news.

You were very concerned about the pm,s wallpaper i seem to recall so don't criticise someone for posting something just because its corbyn or are we not allowed to speak about him?

How many threads did you start again for the pms wallpaper?None, how many have you started about corbyns court cases let me think oh yeah none The difference here is i started a thread and ask a question i wonder who funded the defence you on the other hand are posting about sleaze, lying, corruption and even infidelity can you spot the difference ?

What court cases are these exactly?

The rest of your post makes no sensewell we have this one which was in January.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/jan/27/jeremy-corbyn-loses-bid-to-force-labour-to-disclose-documents-about-his-suspension

and then there was the defamation one in march in which he tried to overturn a high court judges ruling .

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/jeremy-corbyn-labour-andrew-marr-english-high-court-b930683.html

If you are confused about the rest of the post read it again it is very simple to understand.

You mean the cases where he fought against his suspension?

I'm confused why this is relevant?

What do you expect him to do?

Starmer was in the wrong and had to backtrack.

I'm at a loss why this is relevant to financial mismanagement. because you ask what court cases when i said you hadn't started a thread on them. The clue is cases its plural so i gave you examples of cases over the last year ,if you had said what case then i would have only referred to the libel case.

I was simpley answering your question something i know you are not well known for so can we get back on track who do you think paid for his lawyers? my guess its momentum.

Well as it says momentum on The declaration of interests, you may well be onto something.

I still dont understand what the various civil cases have to do with this one.

And can I just clarify.

Akex has currently, 6 Is it?I've lost count, cases ongoing, which no one is apparently concerned about and in which they have done nothing wrong, yet this is a major cause of concern

Have I got that right?"

Mate start posts about them thats what a forum is for see where it goes but dont start all that left wing shit about double standards just because its about corbyn, its called a balance and everyone has a right to start a thread on anything they want if its in the context of the forum without being accused of double standards. After all if yu dont like the thread you can choose not to participate.

Double standards

How dare you?

Where's the double standards here? Costa said in that other thread he didn't think Govt done anything wrong.

In this thread he poses a question about who paid court costs.

Beciade The entire thread is about people not caring about the various financial shenanigans.

Yet a thread appears questioning whether corbyn signed a form or not."

The thread was about people not caring however, Costa didn't say anything of the sort so not sure where the double standards are.

This thread isn't about whether corbyn signed a form or not. There was a very specific question in the OP. I'm not very well versed in how things work round here but I'd hazard a guess that when a question is posed in an OP then that is what the thread is probably about.

"Anyway.. I thought the public werent interested in this type of thing?

I don't think that many people are bothered tbf.

You must want him held to account like you do his peers though

Of course

If he has done something wrong

Its just I distinctly remember a thread with a news story from sky saying people had no interest in this type of thing, when Alex was upto to his neck in allegations.

Yet they seem keen on running the story and we have threads from people who were not concerned at what the pm gets upto.

I mean, god forbid there should be double standards on here.Lionel its a politics thread a labour mp writes to the standards committee to look into undeclared funding its news.

All in saying is I'm a bit bewildered.

When all the stuff about Alex's curtains came on, the argument in his favour was that 'no one cared '(as in the link I posted)

Yet an issue about a politician who isnt even the labour leader, is such a grave concern.

I said earlier if he has done something wrong,he should face the consequences.

But then again I'm not a blatant hypocrite.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/don-t-vote-for-corbyn-pleads-jewish-chronicle-lj3pt9gmm"

the story quoted in the JC is about a woman who set up.a crowd funding page

The organiser of crowdfunding project that has raised over £330, 000 to defend Jeremy Corbyn against possible legal action has failed to mention her link to a newly formed company set up to administer the funds.

Companies House records show that Carole Morgan – who launched ‘Jeremy’s Legal Fund’ last month - founded Truth Defence Ltd just one week later with a leading supporter of the Jewish Voice For Labour group to “end the politicisation of Jewish suffering”.

But last week she neglected to mention her link to the company when she wrote to donors to tell them she had “been in touch with the organisers"  of Truth Defence “to maintain our connection moving forwards in the future

The message added: “In the meantime, all funds raised by us to support Jeremy in a potential legal defence will be held in trust for that purpose, and details of that will be announced soon.”

According to Companies House records, filed on July 29, Truth Defence Ltd was set up by company director Andrew Feinstein. The other stated Person with Significant Control (PSC) is Carol Eve Morgan, by virtue of her owning more than 25% but not more than 50% of voting rights, and having rights to appoint and remove a majority of the directors of the company.

The l8nk 0rovided is from august 2021 just to let everyone know .

They obviously don't like Corbyn, that's not up for debate though.

The story is about a woman who set up a fund for him. Not him, himself.

It is indeed .

The JC used to be a half decent read before it was taken over by guess who ?

The Jewish Chronicle has been sold to a consortium fronted by Theresa May’s former director of communications, saving the historic newspaper following a brief but messy takeover battle.

The winning bid was led by Sir Robbie Gibb, a former BBC executive who worked in Downing Street throughout the Brexit negotiation process. It is also backed by a group including former charity commission chairman William Shawcross, ex-Labour MP John Woodcock, and journalist John Ware who made a recent Panorama investigation into allegations of antisemitism in the Labour party.

Funnily enough

Before the takeover the JC ran a story

by JC writer Shraga Stern

December 19, 2019 11:25

Claiming the JC wasnt celebrating Corbyns defeat .

https://www.thejc.com/comment/opinion/among-charedim-jeremy-corbyn-s-defeat-is-not-being-celebrated-at-all-1.494545

As i said earlier

Pre takeover the JC was a half decent read .

If it attacked Corbyn it always

Had a mirror article defending him .

It was rather balanved you might say .
