"HMRC have received 27,227 fraud reports on people abusing the furlough scheme as of April the 14th i hope they throw the full weight of the law against these employers." Let's hope the same weight is applied to all associated with fraudulently claiming PPE was fit for purpose and charging massively over inflated prices.. | |||

Let's hope that anyone abusing the system feels the full force of the law and is made to repay it with substantial penalties. There were even some companies selling companies that were registered before the relevant validity date in order that people could make fraudulent claims. It is a sad reflection of the society we live in that some people are prepared to take advantage of the panademic for personal gain. The governmrnt were very generous to those in need during the crisis. | |||

Thank the lord we have a gmnt who take a very strict stance on this. Now where did that £18b go again?" The supply of PPE and the the procedures to be followed are an entirely different concept to those who chose to deliberately defraud the furlough scheme. During a time of national crisis PPE had to be secured very quickly and in the circumstances we were competing at world level for supplies . Saving lives was considerably more important than value for money or adherence to a rigorous procurement process . Can you imagine the national outrage there would be if Boris had announced that PPE was available but that the government would let many more die because they wanted to wait and see if they could secure better value for money . As things stand the government appear to have done an excellent job during the panademic and we should all recognise that. The electorate certainly did last week. We can safely ignore the criticisms from the Good Law Project . It seem that they consider systems and procedures to be more important than saving lives. It appears that the organisation is run by a lawyer out to line his own pocket. | |||

Except for the government who I will defend to the bitter end no matter how much public money they siphon off to their mates during the pandemic." My Accountants have said that they have already received a number of requests for 'clarification' on firms that they represent. Luckily they told everyone from the start the correct way of doing it and refused to represent any firm that made applications outside of their oversight. | |||
