I wondered about that and it seemed a very small amount for defamation maybe the BBC got it wrong.it seems very strange to me that the media dont know what its for or who bought the claim against him which makes me think its just another stunt. "Had the plaintiff used the correct procedure she would either have sought legal advice or used the correct forms . Any solicitor would have simply laughed at her for even considering issuing procedures against the prime minister . Her other option would have been to use the correct forms which is a more expensive and time consuming process. Did she send a letter to Boris first advising as to why she thought she was defamed and how she calculated the amount owing. Such a letter would be sent recorded delivery. She would also need to prepare pleadings. Her action would simply have been struck off at the first stage as an abuse of the process and she might have ended up with a costs order against her . | |||

I know from personal experience how you can get a CCJ against you for something you didn't owe or even know about. It took a couple of months to sort out but I got it removed from the court actions and my credit history.
