I thought it was the tory party that was meant to turn on its leaders,

at least corbyn had some comedy value and personality, poor old starmer is so boring, typical lawyer, thinks being po faced and serious looking makes him look clever

I thought that too. Why would he want to. He seems to be doing very well in Manchester, and he is very well respected. When he says distant future he may well be talking as a grandee kind of distant future.
