A school in Birmingham:

“Pupils who challenge sexist language, such as calling an assertive girl "bossy" or saying "boys don't cry", are rewarded with a certificate. Children also monitor their reading books

worksheets for and stereotypes.

Sarah Hewitt-Clarkson, the head teacher, said: The phrase 'Good morning boys and girls' is not used in this school. Instead teachers say,

'Good morning everyone'. "Girls have posters thev hold up every time one of the teachers says, 'Come on guys. The posters say, 'Sir, I am not a guy.' Sometimes it slips out, but our training shows that i you are resolute you can stamp this out."

If you're this upset about people who want kids not to be sexiest. How upset are you about real issues like, climate change, nepotism amongst government contracts for PPE etc, government selling arms to states like Saudi Arabia who use them to bomb civilians etc.

"The children ran into my office one playtime and said “Miss, Miss, something terrible has happened . . one of the supervisors has taken a skipping rope off a boy and said boys don't skip.' They were rightly absolutely horrified," she said. I held a professional conduct meeting with the supervisor, and I made clear that you must never say those things." The assistant has since left.

Similar programmes in America have been criticised as "woke weaning". Chris McGovern, chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, said: "Teaching young children about sexism is woke-weaning and it is cruel.

We are saying to children who do not use what is seen as politically correct language that they are at fault. It gives them a sense of guilt."

“Something terrible has happened”

BAHAHAHAH that’s how they are preparing kids for the big wide world.

And do you think the kids will be able to keep the “real issues”, as you put it, in perspective after this sort of education?

You didn't answer my question. But I'll answer your unrelated, abstract question.

Teaching kids to not be sexist, is not mutually exclusive with teaching them about climate change or current affairs.

I found his reply interesting too.

I work in education and use of language is very important. While I wouldn't dish out certificates for this sort of thing, we always talk to children about how strong words can be and how to use them wisely.

These practices are common place in most schools now.

Schools should concentrate on teaching maths and physics so we end up with the engineers we need.

Maybe this is all an act to make people think you're pro-sexist and pro-misogynistic behaviour in kids. But secretly you actually think bigotry is a negative. How would we know?

Back in the day, "sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you" used to get rolled out.

Thankfully education has moved on.

Schools should concentrate on teaching maths and physics so we end up with the engineers we need.

Instead we are going to get green haired screeching loonies whose only interest is camping out in Parliament Square trying to outdo each other’s woke signalling.

They do.

Guess you don't know everything after all..."

With a third of boys and a quarter of girls leaving primary school not having mastered the three R’s, it doesn’t seem so, does it.

"A school in Birmingham:

"If you're this upset about people who want kids not to be sexiest. How upset are you about real issues like, climate change, nepotism amongst government contracts for PPE etc, government selling arms to states like Saudi Arabia who use them to bomb civilians etc.

How do we know what you're not "woke signalling" with all these threads?

Maybe this is all an act to make people think you're pro-sexist and pro-misogynistic behaviour in kids. But secretly you actually think bigotry is a negative. How would we know?

Schools didn’t bother with this rubbish when we were a great world power in the 19th century.

It’s not a coincidence.

Women didn't have the vote in the 19th century.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence to you. I'm glad we've progressed beyond those times.

Happy to agree to disagree with you on this one.

We can be great again. We just need our education system unlocked.

When we’re we last ‘great’?

When the sun never set on us "
