Personally I can't stand cauliflower, maybe we can just all agree to cancel it?

Sounds to me like the broad point she's trying to get across is that environmental initiatives are too often high-handed paternalistic dictats from authority which don't take the wishes of local people into account.

You know - a conservative take

I'd want to see the full context before I completely commit to this being a position that could just as have easily been made by a conservative - but taken at face value it looks pretty clear to me.
