Is it not very hypocritical to have a moments silence for the queens husband and then take the knee for the black lives matter movement.

Across all 4 football leagues. It was done before every game. The guy was a well known racist.

Then you had better ask all those players in all those leagues I suppose.

I'd say it's less hypocrisy and more the fact that if you're in the public eye and are deemed not to be respecting the royal family sufficiently certain newspapers will come after you.

"footballers SLAMMED as unpatriotic for SNUBBING Prince Phillip!!!!!"

I did the former but not the latter.

Does that make me racist?

Where did you get this from?

He had a sense of humour that was a bit off centre but otherwise was friends with many people of different colours and religions.

Does that not swing both ways tho? I distinctly remember some celebrities who didn’t post a black square on their insta feeds on ‘blackout tuesday’ or whatever it was being implied to be racist. Fuck, Emma Watson got in trouble for posting 3 in a row to make a black band across her feed so it ‘made more impact’.

Horses for courses. Every paper has its own agenda.

Agreed. It's about the lack of nuance in the readers and the extremes that papers play to.
