the problem is a lazy president who couldn't be bothered to implement anything which he campaigned on after he was elected in 2016 and just buried his snout deeply in the trough and proceeded to gorge himself while his family and associated psychophantic hangers on suckled at his teat. five miles of fence and a handful of dead grunts is no a great legacy tbf.

The US is going to enforce it's interests and maintain democracy as they see fit around the world, that's just the way it is. And, our allies are going to follow along because it's in their best interest to do so. 99.9% of our allies hated that idiot of a man trump, and his idiot family, the exception being Israel of course, which I don't agree entirely with. Our allies didn't even like being in the same room with any of them, because they knew the trumps were trash and

only out for their own good, not for the benefit of

the US people or our allies.

Slightly ot but was reading some thing about Afghanistan s while ago which was saying the thing they respect most,is keeping your word.

So when they had bin laden it would have been easier to just hand him over, but they have given him their word, so it would be seen as massively disrespectful.

Quite interesting I thought.

Biden, and the middle east. I see a lot more US service personnel lives being lost in the years to come. Unless he is hoping that he contain the situation in the middle east and let them sort it out themselves. Wonder who will bubble to the top, ISIS, Taliban, Iran, Saudi's. At least then he will either have to deal with one government or cut the head off one lot of insurgent groups.

After trying to stop each side sinking each others oil in the first Gulf War, and that was not 1991, but when the Iraqis and Iranians were kicking chunks out each other some years before, I don't mind what the outcome would be. Having had to deal with threats from Iranian type 21 frigates built by Vosper Thorneycroft during that time, I wish western governments would not jump into bed with any middle east country that sings Yankee Doodle or offers it cash. They are are corrupt.

Not really, they could shut the straits in the drop of a hat, and all the might of the world police would be useless, but how would they profit, that big question in why would they do it, they would suffer as well.
