A good idea or not, should the uk follow suit when it happens to help the airlines and holiday industry?

Personally, I don't feel one way or the other. I'll have the vaccine just like I've had all the others (certain ones just to be able to travel).

Having said that, providing they make allowances for people who can't have it then all is well I think

I’m getting vaccinated when I can and it would be a long swim home without a flight so makes no odds to me.

It's a tricky one but on the whole if we want to protect everyones liberty I think it will have to be done.

I agree with protecting people but it seems to fly in the face of freedom of choice. I cant make my mind up i will be having it asap but i also respect peoples right not to have it.

What I mean by protecting everyone's liberty is it would be unfair on people who couldn't get the vacine for medical reasons etc so I think it's going to mean a passport to level the field.

the wife had hers tday I’m hope iv for mine in the next cpl of weeks the gf is a tricky one as ppl in there twenty’s are going to be one of the last on the list

A difficuilt one to call.

If you get vaccinated then, in theory, you should not be able to catch the virus.

Therefore the risk is not to you and you should not be able to pass it on to others.

In theory (again), those who have not been vaccinated would only be at risk from others who have not been vaccinated.

If someone who chose to not be vaccinated were to catch the virus on a flight or in a hotel whilst on holiday, would they have trouble with their insurance to claim for treatment or repatriation?

Will it finally come down to insurance companies rather than governments that insist you have a vaccine before travelling?

I don't know and am just thinking aloud.

I'm hearing the vaccine does not actually stop you getting or even spreading the virus but stops you getting seriously ill with it. It should in theory reduce the amount of time you are infectious and therefore reduce the amount you spread it. I will have mine at the earliest opportunity. This is just an opinion / interpretation, please don't take it as a claim of fact

Yes i saw that,i think the debate about the Schengen countries is taking place today as the southern countries are worried about tourism this year.
