'Merry Christmas'

You can see that well in an ABC News/Ipsos poll released on Sunday. The majority (56%) say Trump should be removed from office, while just 43% believe he should not be removed.

An average across polls since Wednesday (in which no pollster is counted more than once) shows that 50% of Americans want Trump to either be impeached, for the 25th Amendment to be invoked or for Trump to resign from office. The minority (43%) say that none of these should occur.

Impeachment? Resign?

I think unless he's advised to resign to avoid impeachment, he will blag it out until the last day.

But I will bet you he's in total turmoil. Fighting his ego and the voice of what's happening will be causing him so much inner turmoil.

Melania also doing her too-little-too-late speech today shows that the whole family are becoming terrified of the consequences.

Cardiff

The PGA need to remove his right to play, not just his right to host golf championships. If people want to hurt Trump hit him somewhere he cares about. No social media and no golf!

The penny is finally dropping, he is quite rightly terrified

Aside from causing him further embarrassment, what would be the reasoning for getting Trump removed a few days earlier?

Not much, I guess it’s about punishing him for what he did to prevent it ever happening again.

to cut him off from a presidential pension and the expense of federal security for the remainder of his life.

Bristol

Losing the PGA is going to hurt

The only reason he still had republican supporters is because they are terrified of going against him because of the knock on effect with elections in their own states.

Once he is finally gone they will mostly drop away

Will he not get the FBI protection that ex president's usually get?

I'm all for seeing the back of him, and as satisfying as it would be to further humiliate him.

Would it do more harm. Polarising and alienating his supporters from any more moderate avenues of thought?

i'm lead to believe he gets nothing if he's impeached.

I'd be comfortable with him being under the protection of the prison warden. Assuming he is proven guilty of the various crimes he's been accused of.
