Are UK citizens living in the EU aware their licence is no longer adequate to drive after 31st Dec. In spain you have till that date to register to change licence and six months after that to do it. In ireland they have to be exchanged before 31st. I think deal or no deal

I'm sure that someone will be along shortly to explain how this is actually an advantage.

The UK government website says "check you have the correct driving documents" No further information. Useless.

Chorley,

The UK government all round useless. Used to vote until Tory until Boris became PM Tory. And just cringe every time I hear a Tory MP on the tv.

A brexit benefit for the people who print non-British driving licenses.

A great win for Brexiteers.

I ask again, what's the problem? A bigger problem was filling my car with the shite that is needed to drive through France

Having to agree with you. Plenty of excellent Conservative MPs been marginalised.

If you lived in spain for more than 6 months a year you had to change your uk license for a spanish one anyway as it was not deemed valid.

Having things like a fire extinguisher and warning triangle plus high viz in case of a breakdown on roads in France is somehow a disadvantage.

How small is your car and what have you got it filled with if you have not got room any of those items?

Women

I didn't say it was a disadvantage, I said it was more of a problem/hassle/expense than getting a bit of paper will be. Don't you agree?

Two breathalyzer tests too but think they may finally be dropping that.

If you want to live in the EU you follow their Laws. What's wrong with that ?

If I'd now need additional driving permits to drive in EU Countries then I'd guess it wouldn't be that difficult to arrange.

Yes it something that wasn't required before but I wouldn't see that it's anything other than a very minor inconvenience really.

I guess that's the point. The absolute most positive aspects of brexit are minor conveniences.

Its is not about driving through France or Spain you are perfectly fine with the licence you have. It's only if you are living in the EU your driving licence is no longer valid it needs to be exchanged to the country of residence

Please read the OP post. It's about people living in the EU not driving through it on holiday for example

How does that negate the point of it being extra bureaucracy?
