It was all a sham. The only oven ready deal was a no deal. The UK will now be an experiment in deregulation as a way to promote free trade. The first Enterprise Country, following the Honduran ZEDE experiment. The farmlands are the new economic landscape as the UK creates a new serfdom based on the Sovereign Individual.

Disclaimer....I may be talking complete bollocks

Dont seem to be many answers to that question.

Maybe they feel sorry for us or could it be they might miss the £79 billion trade surplus?

Why haven’t the Uk walked away? Afterall, a no deal is a ‘good outcome’ .

In some respects it is, especially with regard to this level playing field business. Funnily enough I would have thought that people on the left would have been more keen for a no deal as it would allow more state aid and investment in/for businesses, particularly in new technology and AI businesses. Technology has no borders and particularly 3D technology which will mean fewer goods being transported. The EU is living in the past and the UK is showing the way forward

i didnt vote remain or leave and they aint representing me im sure others who didnt vote feel the same way.it is funny though leavers thinking the goverment give to hoots about them and remainers thinking the e.u give a damn about them.fact is the e.u are doing whats best for them and the uk goverment are doing what suits them.the people of the u.k and europe dont even register with these people

You can see how this pans out.

A no deal will be blamed on eu intransigence and sold as better than a bad deal.

A last minute deal will be sold as evidence of boris's (or princess nut nuts)negotiating skills and hailed as a triumph.

Despite it being much worse than May's deal.

He cant answer because may never had a deal all she had was a proposed withdrawal agreement which got defeated in the hoc. How long has brexit been going on? and people still dont understand it.

I am not disagreeing with you, it is looking increasingly likely we will be leaving without a deal? Let’s see how that works , the UK will have no ties to the EU and will be ‘free’ to do what it wants and trade with whoever they want ? Will 2021 be a prosperous year for the UK?

Both sides need to sell any deal to their people so both will need to be able to show the have stuck to their red lines. As always the devil will be in the detail. Boris needs to get it through parliament and the EU through 27 countries with various interests

It was roughly 24%, in total about 50% of the population voted in the EU referendum, hardly the ‘will of the people ‘

A no deal will be blamed on eu intransigence and sold as better than a bad deal.

A last minute deal will be sold as evidence of boris's (or princess nut nuts)negotiating skills and hailed as a triumph.

Course you dont.

How about with Mays deal we didnt break international law?

I couldnt really care abouts May's deal tbh as the decision has been made to leave and that's that.

My point was a simpler one.

Whatever happens 1 of 2 things will happen

Blame will be put on another party (the eu)and if we get a deal it will he sold to us.

I did a thread ages ago where I said we live in a post truth age.

Facts and the truth dont matter.

What matters is soundbites and slogans and appeals to nationalism.

No one has a fucking clue what's going to happen post Brexit..we have been sold a fairytale where there is every possibly its going to be an absolute nightmare.

We simply domt know..which means we have gambled our future on the whims of the likes of Jacob Reece mogg, nigel farage and the daily mail

God help us.

Boris didn’t have a deal either, fair play to him though, he got it voted through the HOC, shame he didn’t stick to it . I know that but people like you keep mentioning his oven ready deal as if it was a trade deal when in fact it was refering to the withdrawal agreement. But as usual dont let facts get in the way.

I know , that is what I said, ‘Boris didn’t have a deal either’ , even though he called it ‘an oven ready deal’ There couldn't be talks of a deal until the withdrawal agreement had been met that was EU rules i wonder why.

Did we know about these ‘rules’ beforehand? Yes but unfortunately the uk had a remain PM who thought she could leave in name only.

O dear, that’s a shame , Only for remainers."

Why? Don’t we all benefit from a no deal Brexit? I am looking forward to 2021, it promises to be a great year

Well of course people don't understand it.. matters of this importance should never have been left to the British voters.. the MPs know what's good for us.. its a bit like when the ladies would withdraw to the drawing room after dinner so the men could discuss the important matters of the day ... Better to have those days back than trust the British public to vote...

"Why haven't the EU walked away already? Dont seem to be many answers to that question.

Maybe they feel sorry for us or could it be they might miss the £79 billion trade surplus?

Because they are representing the 70% of the UK population that didn't vote for brexit ?

What percentage of the public voted to remain?

It was roughly 24%, in total about 50% of the population voted in the EU referendum, hardly the ‘will of the people ‘

"

So when someone put 70 percent of the people didn't vote for brexit they forgot to mention 76 percent didn't vote to remain.

Even at this stage the semantics of the vote in 2016 are being picked over ....

I’m guilty of it as much as the next person ...

We should run a competition - who can create the most diverse interpretation of the factual result ...

The 70% one mentioned above (FYI which I corrected ) - how is that actually formulated ??

What was it about mays deal that you liked?

Blimey, was it that long ago?He cant answer because may never had a deal all she had was a proposed withdrawal agreement which got defeated in the hoc. How long has brexit been going on? and people still dont understand it.

Me, I don't understand it.

I've asked and asked but nobody can explain it.

Just one tangible benefit would do."

Still swerving the issue I see

"You can see how this pans out.

A no deal will be blamed on eu intransigence and sold as better than a bad deal.

A last minute deal will be sold as evidence of boris's (or princess nut nuts)negotiating skills and hailed as a triumph.

Despite it being much worse than May's deal.

I will give you one tangible benefit. Britons with holiday homes in the Med will no longer be able to stay there all year round..

That will wipe the smile off the face of that smarmy bitch who lives at the end of my road...I sold mine in september so not bothered .

That’s a shame, no mate it was a good move.

Fair enough, i hope it wasn’t Brexit that made you sell up Nope why would i vote for something that made me do something i didnt want to do?

No idea, why did you buy it in the first place? I suppose you can buy a place in a sunny part of the UK instead Why not? i had a place in sunny england too.

Nice, I am going to invest in somewhere in Italy, I love it out there, especially around lake Garda "

I don't know for certain but it seems the tariffs are applied to the EU (something to do with the Airbus dispute I think) . As the UK will not be in the EU as of 1st January then I guess they will no longer apply. Maybe trump or Biden will 're impose them but not sure what the reason would be
