Theresa May said in the commons yesterday

"For many people it looks as if the figures are chosen to support the policy rather than the policy being based on the figures"

Has there been a more damning statement from a former pm directed at a sitting pm?

The government has chosen a path to go down with lock down 2 and they will do whatever is necessary to justify that decision. They are not looking for a debate about it. They will suppress or discredit any information that might suggest their decision was an overreaction.

Or under-reaction that came too late.

Hanlons razor is relevant, 'never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence' C'mon people knew that Boris wasn't a fan of parliamentary scrutiny. It's not like he suspended parliament (again).

"For many people it looks as if"

That doesn't damn the actions, it damns the people implementing them

Would he not have had knowledge of the question beforehand?

I don't think Boris ever expected he'd be a 'crisis PM'

Shrugs.

You wanna be pm you take what comes at you.

He helped orchestrate the while Brexit fiasco so he would have been dealing with that anyway.

It's not as if he is the 1st pm in the history of the world to be dealing with a big issue .

Funny how many who were critical of her when pm for trying to get the brexit withdrawal deal done now love her because she criticised their latest hate figure.

She has always been slagged off in any job she did in Government and was a useless PM, she has turned into the next Ted Heath.

She was pretty poor as home secretary, messed up big style in calling a GE which ultimately led to her being betrayed by those now at the helm..

She's enjoying payback in holding the current administration to account like several back benchers..

It would be, but its like an idiot telling a fool something.

She has no credibility, just like TB had no credibility after he stopped being PM.
