"I might be biased but can anybody understand how nearly 50% of the US can vote for Thrump?" Because his policies have been great. The economy boomed pre covid, brought more black people out of poverty than any president in history, created peace with North Korea and created relative peace between Israel and it's neighbours. All unprecedented for any president in history. Couple this with the fact the left have been burning down cities and killing people all summer why wouldn't you vote for Trump?

"I might be biased but can anybody understand how nearly 50% of the US can vote for Thrump?" I think it comes down to the Republicans being willing to play dirty and the Democrats are just clueless at fighting elections. A lot of Americans just don't feel like they need evidence. Examples if that are religion and QAnon. The Right makes out that the Left are enemies, not opponents. They breed fear and a desire to sock it to the liberals. People get emotionally involved in that rather than looking at arguments and policy. This lie about Joe Biden being a socialist is incredibly effective despite it being blatantly untrue. Even under Biden the US would remain probably the most capitalist and least socialist countries in the world. But hey ho, it doesn't matter when you can own the Libs?

What do you mean by "groups like Antifa" ? It's not a group. It's an ideology that fascism is bad. If you think it's a group then that calls into question your grasp of the news. There is no group called Antifa that anybody can join. Do you think fascism is bad? I do. Those people that criticise this mythical group Antifa are presumably saying that fascism is either good or indifferent by criticising the ideology instead of people's actions. The idea that people are burning down cities is a massive overstatement by right-wingers as an tactic. It is demonstrably false.

This chap provided you with the answer. People believe the propaganda without question. Information and facts are meaningless now. The result: people still vote for Trump. " Exactly. These are all parrotted Trump tropes. There is no peace between N Korea and America. They are no less of a threat now than before Trump took office. There is no peace between Israel and Palestine. A landlord (Jared Kushner) tried to impose a peace deal on the Palestinians by dictat and they are resisting it. The economy was booming under Obama and the increase actually slowed down under Trump. There is no reason to think that anything done by Trump caused the boom. The economy is now suffering terribly but the same people who praise Trump for the boom don't blame him for its decline, so they are cherry-picking their facts. Millions of people have protested peacefully. There has been a comparatively small amount of trouble amongst the hugely peaceful protests (300 arrests compared with millions of protesters) and yet ALL protesters are presented as rioters and looters. He probably thinks that Trump has done more for black people than Lyndon B Johnson who passed the Voting Rights Act in the 60s, which the Republicans gutted a few years ago on the basis that there is no more racism in America. Yep, that's what they argued. It shows the power of lies and propaganda, and shows how effective the Republicans are at fighting elections and how crap the Democrats are at it.

"I might be biased but can anybody understand how nearly 50% of the US can vote for Thrump?" It isn't 50% of the US who voted for him though. The US voting system is a bit of a mess. Due to voter apathy and the electoral college Trump won with less actual votes than Hilary in 2016. Out of all the total votes in 2016 Trump received 46% and Hilary 48%. And I think voter turnout was only about 50% so Trump won with less than 25% of total registered voters voting for him. Can't speak for the current election as the final figures aren't available yet. And Trump has already got 3 million more votes than last time " Based on the numbers I'm looking at, he has about 4 million more votes than last time already. And Biden has about 4 million more than Clinton got last time. When everything has been counted, we'll see there has been a way bigger turnout for this election.

"If you can't understand why people would vote for Trump you could start to look at alternative news sources from the ones you have been getting your news from. With an RSS feed, you can sign up to left-wing, right-wing, political news, economic news and several other types of news outlets so you have a broader understanding about what is going on in the world." Normally yes. But with Trump you can circumnavigate the press. He boasts on his Twitter about promoting race hate, about destroying the planet and environment, about removing healthcare from those at the bottom of the pile. It's all there.

You might want to ask the residents of Flint County... Obama spent a lot of time sorting out environmental legislation whilst Trump only reversed most of those laws late in his term. So I wouldn't imagine the results of those law changes to be immediately apparent. I'd be interested, if it were true, to see how reducing environmental legislation improves conditions. Trump certainly didn't leave the Paris Agreement because he valued the environment over industry. Fortunately in my Eyes , the Democratis Tapped into the disbelief some people really do dislike trump . Thats why they will win " As of early Friday morning, Mr. Biden has 50.5 per cent of the popular vote (73,488,248), compared to 47.8 per cent for the president (69,622,407). Opinion polls seem to indicate that Americans want to get rid of Trump rather than having any particular like for Biden. I'm hoping that Biden will implement some Obama-esque laws and reinstate what Trump overturned during his tenure. I'm not too concerned about foreign policy etc but do care about environmental policy because we all live on the same planet.
