Yeah, they are owned by an Indian company, who bought it from an American company after they bought it from a German company. I am glad to see their sales figures are rising as they have stated it will cost them £500 million a year in tariffs alone if the U.K. crashes out without a deal. Shall I show you the link?

Actually they have a large new factory in Slovakia which had just been tripled in size and two thirds of the brand new sheds are empty. Wonder why that is!

It’s producing the new defender and as well as the jobs in the factory thousands of jobs are being created by parts manufacturers building sites nearby.

a global automotive manufacturer and leading technology company, proudly built around two iconic British car brands and driven by a desire to deliver class-leading vehicles, providing experiences people love, for life. At heart we are a British company and we value our unique heritage, but today we are an international business with a truly global footprint.

Do you know what their market share is in the U.K.?

Very small -what’s your point?

3%, can you remind us all what was your point when you posted your ‘Friday fun fact ‘ about Indian owned Jaguar Land Rover on a no deal Brexit thread ?

British located workers making cars in British located factories - glass half full.

It is very good news, but they face paying an extra £500 million a year on tariffs if the U.K. without a deal. To answer the OP, do we need a deal?

Brexiters don't care, they are selfish "

I also make fun of your stupidity

"Think on the positives there will be less BMW drivers if we don't get a deal its almost worth it.

What is wrong with BMW drivers?

They’re probably traitors collaborating with the EU and the Germans. They should be buying British cars. Oh hang on, there’s no British car maker any longer. Maybe after brexit, who knows?

Friday night Fun Fact - Jaguar Land Rover (British brand / 2 British manufacturing sites) are reporting strong uk sales post lockdown and are showing good export growth in the Chinese market (almost 30% year-on-year increased sales)

Your welcome

Hurrah, who owns Jaguar Land Rover these days?

Tata Motors so is not British brand

Jaguar and Land Rover are

They are a subsidiary of Indian owned patent company Tata Motors . They bought Jaguar Land Rover from Ford (American) in 2008 after Ford acquired Land Rover from BMW (German ) in 2000.

Or....

British foundations, global presence

Except that they will only produce around 11,000 cars this year which is less than one third of the volume they produced last year and they still have more staff on furlough than an other vehicle manufacturer.

Add to that, they just had to issue their own bonds just to stay afloat and had to pay 7.75% to garner sufficient cash (£500 million) to stay afloat.

Look its time we just go to no deal. It what the public who voted for brexit wanted. Not this halfway house BS.

You got your man in to deliver.

Your man can barely deliver it.

What worries you so much about accepting a trade deal from the EU on their terms?

This whole thing has been about UK sovereignty, and yet the UK gov is willing to throw away principals to get this sub standard agreement.

Smacks of hyprocrisy, just saying.

Does seem to be a lot of people that know the intimate details of these talks and even the final outcome. Security needs to be stepped up around them I think

Being in a halfway house, not being able to grasp the manifest destiny of full independance.

This gov is ballsing it all up.

Trying to get preferrencial treatment, with what is effectively our competitor.

The EU should tell them to No.
