Voted remain, knew they'd fuck everything up. Four years later seems I was giving them too much credit, even I couldn't have comprehend just how badly they could fuck everything up.

They've turned the entire country into a laughing stock and made us all look thick. The world really did consider us intelligent by virtue of our nationality, not any more.

I wholeheartedly disagree. They haven't fucked anything up. They've pushed for the most beneficial form of Brexit for themselves and for the people who funded the leave campaigns.

At no point did brexit have anything to do with any benefits for British people.

Oh weird. Economists and people who understand international trade deals said that it would take at least five years to sort out any proper form of brexit.

So why anyone is surprised about how long and arduous this is. Wasn't paying attention back in 2016.

Yeah, you tell them Mr Wrapper, this country is built on fishing and the Evil EU empire can keep their hands off our Nobel British cod. How much is the fishing industry worth in the UK? Must be tens of billions

You can look at world media and look how it's reported. You can ask your friends in other countries. You can look at the facts.

Of course not everyone in the world laughed at us. But for sure we have turned into a joke nation.

We sold our quotas in early 90s so in or out it won't matter, they own the rights to the catch. That's an easy fact to look up.

I think that was our share of the European quota system

Not sure of my facts here but if we do leave without agreement our waters are no longer part of the EU so don’t come under any quota system.

Cap d’Agde, France

Having family working within the European Commission the inside story is that the EC will never walk away from trade negotiations giving the UK government the excuse to blame them for talks breaking down.

This intransigence has clearly frustrated the UK and now they are the ones walking away.

The EC know that Britain has more to lose than they and although they will always be prepared to negotiate they have been expecting a no deal Brexit for the last 4 years and preparations for such a scenario are well advanced.

Brexiters are so desperate these days that they’ve stopped dealing with the content or arguments in other people’s posts. They just don’t know how to handle them. They’d rather get upset by the words Bovril or Sunny Uplands. That’s called diversion tactics.

"Macron’s statement a minute: ago: The EU’s vocation is not to make the British Prime Minister happy.

In more direct language: f... off Boris.

When I hear quotes like that from our 'European Friends' it makes me feel even better the UK voted to leave.

"The EU's vocation is not to make the British prime minister happy"

And this quote makes you glad that the UK voted leave!

I'm pretty sure that your post here is the best summary of the lunacy of ordinary people supporting Brexit. Good work that man!

If your going to use what I posted use it all not just a snipet.

I did. I replied with the quote.

It's all there.

You're asking a Brexiter to acknowledge reality. Good luck with that.

Brexiters are so desperate these days that they’ve stopped dealing with the content or arguments in other people’s posts. They just don’t know how to handle them. They’d rather get upset by the words Bovril or Sunny Uplands. That’s called diversion tactics.

Desperate? The UK voted to leave.

You sound the desperate one and a bit sad as well. Just accept it and cheer up."

What a killer argument. Still nothing about the ‘turds’ that you describe as our European friends. Do you also pick and choose the posts you answer?

No you didn't.

This is what I posted.

Uh hu.

It's all there. Are we now arguing about if i cut part of your text out of the quote (which I didn't, it's clearly all there)?

In anycase. My observation remains the same. What a ridiculous thing to make you happy about the UK voting leave over.

You could include any more opportunities in life under "better off". But usually it implies money and standard of living.

Hey, what should Macron say? You and your brexiters friends have been told by Bojo that everything will be fine, that the French will be desperate to sell their champagne, the Germans their cars etc... the EU never decided Brexit, you and your clowns did. The U.K. did and noone else.Macron didn’t.

Now you take responsibility and those who sold you lies too. Macron and co never wanted this in the first place. Who does the U.K. think it is to impose its will to 27 other countries? You take ownership of your shit-show, stop blaming anyone else and you and your rockstar should now deliver the unicorns you promised and were promised Come on chop chop, time is running out. Stop chickening out. Don’t let yourself be scared by the project fear.

I’m sitting patiently, enjoying the show.

Stop your bleating, moan moan moan that's your answer to everything. Get a grip mate, life will go on.

Plus I don't drink champagne and I don't drive a German car so it bothers me not that will not be about anymore!"

Well I'd very much doubt you drive a British car unless your a collector of antiques
