Rik Mayall did a conference speech as Alan B'stard, all rhetoric and bullshit designed to appeal to the happy clapping flag shaggers. It was done as comedy, and viewed as part of the show it was funny.

Find the clip on YouTube and it's not comedy any more. The whole thing has become reality. A satire from 30 years ago has come true. We are genuinely living in a satire.
