The stuff PHE have been doing - which is operationally their remit - has not been good enough, and as you rightly point out some local public health officials have felt it necessary to run a parallel process. One measure of the effectiveness of the new NIHP will be the availability to the local authorities of the data which they have so far not been able to see and contribute to. | |||

Dido Harding has been in charge of the NHS Improvement Scheme for the last tbree years. Trying to make out she is totally unsuitable for the job is untrue. She may or not be the best candidate for the job, but she is now under immense scrutiny to get the job right, and will rightly be judged on her results. | |||
