The Question is simple, is an American life worth more than a British life?

"The Question is simple, is an American life worth more than a British life?"

Or also, to what extent is it acceptable for a nation to protect it's citizens abroad? Or to what extent should consular assistance be provided and is it acceptable for the host nation to be complicit in assisting in a foreign citizen evading scrutiny?

I doubt it would have made any difference no matter what president would have been in office

Yep, could be right. We have voluntarily weakened our position in the world...

If interested in the Harry Dunn travesty, research what happened when Harry's family were summoned, along with their American friend and legal advisor, to the Whitehouse. It was a shocking attempt at intimidation - really disgraceful. The earlier interview where this is discussed by the Dunn's legal chap is probably still on RT website somewhere (Sputnik with George Galloway I suppose).

Sicmens me to see Mike Pompous strutting about, telling the UK what a good little obedient country we are and Dominic Raab poncing about like a good little poodle

"We have refused to go send British citizens to the states too this is nothing new."

the answer is not very often.. and most of the ones that have been stopped have been by the uk courts.....

the only cases where the UK government will refuse a us request to extridite is if there is a possibility of the death penalty being applied.... if that is taken off the table then the uk will normally grant the request....

the other way round is that by US law they do not extridite any US citizens at all.... full stop!

In that case, why was diplomatic immunity declared by both the Trump administration and by the Tories?

There's also reports that the tories knew Sacoolas was going to leave the UK and allowed it. Some "special relationship", I'm interested to see what happens with Julian Assange
