Don't say the economic bump before Covid. That is well documented to have started in the Obama period.

"It was pretty predictable that this would happen; not the spikes as a result of Trump's really, but how the media will drum this up to be his fault. It is so predictable, it's boring. The reason there is such a 'sudden spike' is because there is more testing - you test more, you find more. The majority of supporters watched the livestreams. Many of them afraid to attend, partly for health reasons and partly due to Antifa. What's not being reported by those same outlets is the level of infections in the blue States, especially where the rioters were allowed to just do as they please. It'll be interesting to see how much reporting there'll be surrounding the infection rates with anyone involved in the CHAZ, sorry, CHOP. The short answer is, they won't know because these people will most likely refuse to get tested " You think that this is down to rioting and protests and nothing to do with lockdowns being widely released without adequate safety precautions being taken? Righto

But there seem to be a fairly large minority in USA and here at home who think that unless there is a govt directive and a personal police escort to enforce social distancing... That somehow personal responsibility and common sense are excused. No govt is forcing people to stand next to each other and transmit the virus... With all the news coverage.. Everyone knows the virus is in the community and that we need to keep our distance. All people are continually reminded to isolate with symptoms and stay distant... Now could govt have done better? Yes of course. But when we have all as individuals done our best to extinguish the threat? I would suggest that the ravers and crowded beach goers and crowded protestors and those who attended religious gatherings of 1000s etc may have contributed to the spread..

"It's 'boring' criticising a man of such magnificent ineptitude. Inept? I don't think so. Crass, to the point, sometimes uncomfortable to watch for some but, undoubtedly effective. The ineptitude is safely owned by the democrats. The democrats are not in power. I love this thing that everybody does this days. Totally ignore the mess the lot in power have gotten everybody in and somehow look to blame those not in power. What strange times we live in." I think my response may be a case of TL;DR and I don't blame anyone for not reading it. I do go on a little. But... The democrats absolutely are in power. It is the democratic governors and mayors who've tactfully used these recent events to try to outplay the republicans before the upcoming elections. Trump wanted to lockdown, eventually, before any of the democrats did. They said he was oppressing people; he was a dictator in the making, etc, etc. Pelosi telling everyone to ignore the warnings and "come on down to Chinatown". Mayor Deblasio urging everyone to ignore what was being said by the medical experts and encouraging mass gatherings etc. Mind, Even Governor Cuomo was a little critical of that. Then, when Trump wanted to reopen (bearing in mind he told the governor of Georgia I think it was, that he was opening his state too soon) the Dems completely turned tail and said that Trump didn't care about people's welfare and that he was endangering the lives of every American. That's all anyone heard from Dems was "keep locked down". Then come the riots and protests. The Dems get behind the protests and encourage more people to get out, even though they still preached lockdown. Chris Cuomo of CNN, Governor Cuomo's brother said live on air "burn it down. Burn it all down". This sentiment was endorsed by people like Pelosi. It was a Democratic mayor that encouraged and endorsed Antifa, the George Brown gun club, BLM and other Communists to cease a 6 block area in Seattle that they named Capital Hill Autonomous Zone (until they bitched out and realised that they couldn't use the word "autonomous" without some serious legal ramifications and named it Capital Hill Occupied Protest). In which the police were chased out, 14 people killed within the zone, businesses and residents within the zone constantly harassed. Ironically, Raz Simone effectively became pseudoTrump, erecting borders, with armed border patrols, ID checks and armed militia within the zone and we're told by Dems to believe it's just hippie dippie summer if love stuff. Then come the rallies. The Dems condemn anyone thinking of attending a Trump rally but encourage more looting, violence, rioting and protests. The Dems have overseen and even stood back and ordered law enforcement to step down whilst statues got pulled down, businesses, homes, private property get destroyed, and people's livelihoods getting ripped from them. Even statues of abolitionists, Union heroes, even people who had nothing to do with slavery or its abolition, the founding fathers all torn down and the Dems encourage it. The Dems have actively supported BLM's calls to defund the police. Even just recently, Mount Rushmore, the Dems are winding people up to believe that even that is racist, Independence Day is racist, and so on. The Dems may not be in government but they are certainly the party with the backing of MSM and social media which, these days is all you need to be powerful. The way the US works is that the president can only do so much on a state level. It falls to the mayor's, then the governors, then the president. The Dems know this. Particularly with the CHAZ thing I think that Trump had a very difficult decision to make but ultimately I think that he made the right choice. Because, the only thing that he could've done at his level was to send the army in and we know how juicy that wouldn't been for the Dems; "look at dictator Trump rolling in the army against these poor innocent protestors". Yup.

Yup. " Let's make this absolutely clear: You are saying that Donald Trump wanted to lockdown the USA early. That he has been consistently saying that the virus is a serious, life threatening illness. That it requires a significant change in behaviour to reduce transmission. That large gatherings should be discouraged. That states should not be encouraged to open businesses quickly. That he did not say that churches should have been open at Easter. He has demonstrated the importance of mask wearing in public. That the Federal Government has provided clear guidance to States. You are also claiming that only Democrat controlled states have had serious infection problems? Is all of the information that contradicts your view a lie? You are genuinely stating that Trump's leadership has been exemplary as has that of all Republican Governors? I am willing to state that the BLM protests have been bad for disease transmission and that pulling down random statues is not to be encouraged. What Activity by Trump and the Republicans can you accept has been unhelpful in this crisis? Anything at all?

That point that makes your claim irrelevant if true or not. "I have however seen instances where the media purposefully take things out of context and have been found to be lying continually. CNN, MSNBC, BBC, The Guardian are the worst for this. I'm fact CNN are the ABSOLUTE worst for this." remember this is the same trump that has managed In 1,226 days, President Trump has made 19,128 false or misleading claims "As for social media, Project Veritas exposed a lot." Much of the funding for Project Veritas comes from anonymous donations through Donors Trust, a conservative, American nonprofit donor-advised fund backed by the Koch brothers,Prominent donors have included the Trump Foundation, which donated $10,000 in May 2015 "I'm sure that all of the black, brown, Asian and first nation Trump supporters would be able to attest to his lack of racism." all 5 of them must be pissed......
