"Isn't this old news? Didn't the NCA investigate and publicly declare sometime last year that not only was there no evidence of a breach of electoral law, but also no evidence that any funds originated from Russia? Or am I mistaken?" It is just the OP attempt to ‘stir the pot’ , he tends to disappear when facts contradict his claims ![]()

"Wins his case against the electoral commission, but the beeb don't seem to mention it... odd." Is it true he has been cleared? Was it covered by the bbc as much as the allegations as I did not see it. Or is this an old story so not likely to be on the news now Genuinely want to know

"Yes he was vindicated of all the alleged issues he was accused of. " Actually, the fine remains and they broke electoral law. The National Crime Agency (NCA) decision that there was no further criminal investigation to conduct was made in September (also reported). The report in May was about the financial settlement. Happy to do the reading on your behalf ![]()

The National Crime Agency (NCA) decision that there was no further criminal investigation to conduct was made in September (also reported). The report in May was about the financial settlement. Happy to do the reading on your behalf ![]() ![]() The fine was based on a technicality. On total expenditure of £11 million his campaign was only £58,000 over . This only happened because an agency was instructed to do some work and in turn charged both VAT and a management fee . Had the same work being undertaken using directly paid staff the campaign would have been underspent. At least he is cleared of all charges and the fine is only based on a technicality.

Happy to do the reading on your behalf ![]() ![]() Several parties were investigated and some fined, some not. None of them are bleating. Even Vote Leave coughed up and shut up. All fines are "technical". That's rather obvious. There was no "vindication". They broke the law and were fined. Spin it how you like. The Electoral Commission referred Leave.EU to the NCA over another matter of campaign loans. The NCA said there was insufficient evidence. The Information Commissioner also fined Leave.eu £120000 for sharing data with Aaron Banks' insurance company. Feel free to do some maths on that "technicality".
