See, satire isn't dead. I'm overjoyed that a man with a political track record of achieving pretty much zero, in fact doing more harm than good (ask Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe) is back leading the country. Come to think of it, apart from the floppy hair and the odd daft phrase in Latin,can anybody give me anything concrete he has ever achieved in politics? Don't say 'Getting Brexit done', because that is another slogan for the gard of thinking.

Nobody being lambasted. I'm simply confused as to why a man with pretty much nothing achieved politically has got where he has. This could be even more relevant with regards to this crisis. If you can’t work out why some who voted for him (again, not me) may be happy to see a someone visibly back in charge then you’re not the visionary political pundit you see yourself as.

And lastly, I’m going to throw this back at you, but if you haven’t worked out that hectoring people on their political choices has the exact opposite, then you’ll never understand partly why Corbyn failed so miserably and I would also suggest why Brexit happened.

As with anyone who is recovering from the virus that's good news, I think it's interesting that it showed that there needs to be a full on deputy for his role..

At times there has been the impression of 'not sure/wait till Boris is back'which for any government is not the best in a national and global crisis..

His own brexit purge has shown there is a lack of experience, indeed he is the same but charisma only goes so far..

He does an awful lot on behalf of his financial backers.

IE petrofac, whose CEO is a major Conservative party donor (completely unrelated probably), get some great great business courtesy of Boris.

The New Zealand lock down is more or less identical to ours!

The difference is that New Zealand are policing and enforcing that lock down rigidly, whereas here a small minority of the public here in the UK are treating it as a joke because there is no deterrent for doing otherwise.

We will see how they do when someone visits there with the virus and it spreads like wild fire because they think it’s eradicated. They will have no herd immunity, no natural antibodies and a blank canvas for the virus. Probably a debilitating and costly second lockdown.

and i think having Starmer as leader of the opposition is good right now as someone has to scrutenise what the government as doing point by point!

I think it’s good to have him back (and I’m not a Boris fan). He is recovered so needs to get on with the job in hand.

He was obviously not going to say anything about easing measures, why would he? We need to continue doing what we should be doing. People are giving up and that’s a big mistake. I think it’s such a sign of the times that people are impatient. We need to stick with it otherwise what we have so far is such a waste.

He seems to need to be loved, not judging him but with his multiple extra marital affairs, clearly enjoyed being the centre of attention on hignfy, his whole bit of a humerous buffoon with witty badinage etc he comes across as a bit needy in wanting all to like him and that's only my unqualified observation..

For what it’s worth I think he’s done ok as has the government considering there is very little precedent to go on.

Political “fans” are like football supporters in many ways. In football I’ve always hated the what has he achieved question when a manager gets a job! At some point every manager has achieved nothing.

The same with Boris, he may have achieved nothing, I don’t care to be honest, but this might be the time when he does achieve, or it might not. Time will tell

I find the labour blokes, starmer or something really annoying going on about an exit plan. I do t need to know what it is... not yet anyway.

Initially,I thought he had good ideas. His policies are not that far left if you look at the Scandinavian countries. But, he wasn't equipped for leadership. I'm no fan Boris, I didn't wish any harm to him and I'm glad he's recovered.

This is the most serious situation in our lifetimes, we have over 20,000 people dead with more sadly to follow. Like many governments ours didn't take this seriously until it was too late. The lockdown here and in other countries came too late.

The USA is worst hit because amongst other reasons the lack of a National Health Service. We can all be thankful we have one with some of the bravest people risking their lives to protect ours.

This is what happens when the world squabbles and won't work together. We all suffer.

New Zealand yes a smaller country but this virus spreads like wild fire and any well coordinated effort to tackle the virus shouldn't be dismissed.

Now we can all continue to rip each other apart, but where will that get us? Nowhere. Critical questions of plans are important as well as putting our differences to the side to get through this. Thank You.
