Distances completely screwed up.

Checking who is nearby.

Sat next to a couple who we can SEE are here.

Check their profile - 1800 miles away.

They show on the 'who is nearby' as close, but not on their profile.

Galaxy S6 and S7 the same.

If you switch "Who's near" off and back on, is the location shown correct? Do both phones show the same location?

(53.33, -3.45 would be in the correct area.)

Have they been 1800 miles away recently?

Also, you say "on their profile", are you seeing both postcode distance and actual distance, e.g. looking at your profile I see

Distance:

40+ miles away

(50+ driving)

Right now:

They are on mobile, 1900+ miles away

Had this at the weekend, it took about an hour to see a correct version of who's near, we were 185miles away even got a mix of Essex/Staffordshire at one point

This happens to me often when I use Firefox. However it's easily fixed if you reset the browser or clear the history/cache/cookies.

I use Chrome and my distance counter is very inaccurate.

also sometimes it will show on someone's profile, the distance between me and them, abd other time with it won't show at all.

On the same person's profile?

If they haven't entered a postcode on their profile it can't show the distance.

Different profiles, I didn't realise they didn't have to enter a postcode, that must be it.

And bear in mind where their mobile phone is might be a completely different location to where they've set their profile as.

im using Opera and getting totally inaccurate distances, It seems also not to always find my location.

Think the interface to mobile location is messed up.
