I have always thought that this would be a good idea. Lets people know you appreciate their comments but that you are not sexually interested : like a wink but without the flirtatious angle!

Yeah but thumbs up waste space and fill forums up too quickly and then the forum is closed

A 'like' button for statuses would also be good. Find a lot of them funny or agree with a lot and would be an easy n quick way to show this
