I may be wrong, but I think if you accidentally put a banned word in your status and then you get the warning message to hit back and delete it, even when you realise which word it is, and delete it, I think when you then try again to update your status you still get the ban for a few hours.

If you put a banned word in your status you don't get earned or a temporary suspension. Admin have said that they remove status for various reasons and issue a warning but if they block status updates it's permanent
