"I dont mean turn it off tottaly i mean change is so the closest location would be within 2 miles where as at the min it says within quater of mile We have been sat in our front garden an people have said am within quater of you an really there sat in car on opposite side of road from us its a bit weird the way people can track you down to nerly an exact location" If a user is closer, it does say within 2/3 miles

"Especially a problem for people who live in the country, and are the only house nearby. We always turn-off Who's Near before setting off home, but it would be nice if we didn't have to do that. I think anyone who cares exactly how far away you are is probably a stalker, so I'd be happy to see the minimum distance increased to something like 2 miles." At least some one understands what we mean

"Not sure how they track you down ?" Where is live. My nearest neighbour is 1/2 mile away, it would not be to hard to narrow it down, with who's near

"Not sure how they track you down ? Where is live. My nearest neighbour is 1/2 mile away, it would not be to hard to narrow it down, with who's near " Exactly its quite easy for a user to narrow it down to an almost exact location it is a saftey concern like the message above says should be able to choose your own distance or the site owners change it to a minimum ov 2 miles

"It is a safety concern, when you can be very accurately pinpointed But you can do that by changing the postcode so it's even further from your actual location

"It is a safety concern, when you can be very accurately pinpointed Users might want to still be viewed from their actual positions just with less precision given to viewers checking in who's near

"But you can do that by changing the postcode so it's even further from your actual location " That won't help with "Who's Near".
