Every time I click on to see who's near it shows people in the south east of England.

I'm in Lancashire in the north west so it's not much good to me!

Phone make + model?

Operating system?

Browser?

Do your other location apps (GPS, Maps) give your location correctly?

Have you given your browser permission to pass your location to Fab?

Etc.?"

see who's near is a good idea but not very accurate. No point it telling me someone is 10-15 miles away. Need accuracy within 1/4 of a mile or better. If members don't like that kind of accuracy they dont need to use it.

If the closest person who matches your filters is 10-15 miles away, then it IS telling you that there's no-one closer! It's not meant to be a tracker system, so you can tap people on the shoulder in the supermarket queue!

We've always found the 'who's near' to be exceedingly accurate.... when we've seen people on line within 1/2 a mile when we've been out and about, we've messaged them and its resulted in meets too x

Likewise. I have seen them within half a mile. Rather than message them though, I have shouted their username as loudly as possible. A couple of times I have heard a really faint "Hello?"

I realise that mate. Occasionally it works ok but 70 percent of the time its showing everyone in the south east as being near me.

My ordinary satnav etc all work fine.

It's a HTC Sensation mate. Maps, sat nav etc all work perfectly and have given the browser permission etc.

30% of the time it works ok but the other 70% gives my location as Reading!

On the page where you turn it on or off copy and paste the two numbers (latitude and longitude) which are next to "we got your location ok" into google maps and see where it puts you
