"Using an android samsung results look right. However on the blackberry results are random with no distance defined for each profile displayed" On your blackberry, when you goto the page where you select whether the feature is on or off (tap "Mobile Who's Near ON") what does it say at the very bottom of page? "Same here I have a HTC Says I've not given site permission" Click the settings button (three horizontal lines at bottom of phone) when you're in internet (browser) tab. Click "more" tab. Click "website settings". Goto the "m.fabswingers.com" listing and tap the "clear location access". You may need to come out of internet/browser and start again. Does that work? Admin x

"I know privacy is paramount on the who's near me search but it's still a bit random. Glasgow isn't very big and having 0-5 miles is showing me people who live way across the other end of the city and isn't telling me who's actually close by. I want inches, feet and yards! " They may live across the city but they maybe closer to you (e.g. At work)

" If you really care about encouraging more single ladies to be active on the site (which would in turn enhance your single male retention rate and therefore revenue) I would suggest making the location service free to this demographic." Surely that would triple the amount of fake female profiles overnight?

"http://www.freemaptools.com/radius-around-point.htm five miles covers a massive area... covers pretty much the whole town where we live and some of the towns surrounding, pointless feature really lol. It gets even more ridiculous when you look at 10-20 miles..." Closest to you are at the top of the list . There is a balance here between privacy and function. Admin x

Admin x" Not meant to be criticism just constructive feedback, in its current form mobile near me is no better then the search function that is already available. On your point about Privacy and Function... Privacy, if someone really wanted to find you its just as easy with it set at 5 miles, as it is at 1,2,3,4 or even 10, 20, 30. As was mentioned in an earlier thread about triangulation... Function, surely the point is, you turn it on if you want to be found? Maybe what you need is it set to turn off when you log out or after a certain amount of time. Thus preserving privacy and allowing people to be found when they want. I imagine that most people would want to use this function on a night out in order to find like minded people in the same club, holiday venue etc. Perhaps another option would be to allow people to select the distance that they would like to be found within?

Points taken, but bear in mind that actual closest are at the top of the list . We will re-visit the bandings for this. Would welcome comments from others. Admin x

" We get that the closest are at the top of the list but they could be 4.1 miles away lol... Or just a few meters away" so then just like the search function that is already available, you would have to message them to find out, so again it makes the feature pointless...

" Now its live, im not sure how triangulation could help to find someone in reality. A mobile phone can be traced by the networks (or police with help from the networks) from cell tower triangulation but would need at least three cell towers to give a accurate(ish) location. So, a user would need 3 handsets, all with the app, with a known fixed location and some clever software to find another using the app. Least, thats my take on it. Anyhoo…. have tried the feature on HTC One X and works great as does Jo's Iphone 4s (once I had enabled location services in Safari). And now we have switched it off, lol Steve
