Yea, very good point! Dark mode would save on battery life for our devices and it’s easier on the eyes too. (As well as adjusting devices etc...) It also makes it less obvious on mobile devices (for user discretion). The websites fine, you just need to give it a colour scheme option, call it a feature if you upgrade. (Silver /gold or whatever get different coloured backgrounds or something..)

Most browsers have a dark theme which can be applied to websites too.

I know it exists in Chrome beta and brave browsers

For chrome go to settings, theme, dark and darken websites.

Brave is the same as above except replace theme with appearance.

Not sure about ios but I presume something similar should be available.

This will apply to all sites you use so don't forget to turn it off after.

exactly this. Blue light filter and turning the brightness down doesn't change the fact its a white background

Hey OP,

I've been playing about with Settings in Android Google Chrome and managed to get Dark Mode to work for me.

I've only tested this on my Samsung A50 running Android 10 and latest version of Chrome.

1. Open up a new tab in Chrome

2. In address bar goto chrome://flags

3. A 'Search Flags' search bar will appear at top page, enter 'Dark Mode'

4. You will see an setting called 'Force Dark Mode for Web Contents'

5. Under this line, there is a drop-down menu with different 'Enabled' settings. Choose either 'Enabled with Selective Inversion' or 'Enabled with Selective inversion of Everything' (I found 'Everything' worked better with both pics and vids.)

6. A message will appear asking to relaunch Chrome.

Once Chrome has relaunched, and you goto Fab, Dark Mode will be enabled and pics will show as normal.

Only problem with this is that is Chrome-Wide so will affect any other sites you visit on Chrome.

Chrome is pretty standard across platforms so this 'should' work if on iOS.

Hope this helps!

For iPhone users….

To enable Smart Invert, open “Settings” and navigate to Accessibility Display & Text Size.

In “Display & Text Size” settings, scroll down until you see “Smart Invert.” Flip the switch beside it to turn it on. Your screen will immediately turn black.

A lot of people have posted workarounds but this should be an easy to implement feature for the website, I'm sure they can find a guy on fiverr to wing it in no time.
