**currently full guestlist but can add to reserve list**

So the Manchester lounge social is back again due to popular demand for some spring fun!

The date is Saturday 16th May 2pm-8pm in central Manchester, venue details will be sent to those on the list.

Obviously the venue has a room capacity so if you want to attend, express your interest on the thread or via the LS inbox.

As usual there’ll be an optional raffle to cover costs.

Right folks, with costs etc we are considering setting up a prepaid £2 admission to cover costs etc, it includes a raffle ticket too but more are available to buy on the day?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on it? We’ve never wanted to charge but I’m sure that the costs mount up and it’s a lot for us organisers to pay presocial?!

I’ve happily paid to attend socials previously and will in future, however I don’t believe you can charge people and have a raffle to cover costs at the same time.

The way I see it there are 3 options:

1 - charge everyone the same amount to attend. Everyone gets one raffle ticket on entry and no tickets will be sold on the day (I know I’m killing the raffle guy here). Prizes are made up of donations rather than expenses.

2 - cut costs. I know we’re all used to cakes and badges but would it detract from the event without them?

3 - leave things as they are in the hope that costs get covered with no guarantee until the day.
