Hi to everyone old and new on the beautiful IOW. If your from Freshwater or Bembridge enjoy the life style and say hi. Would love to organise a social on the island who is up for it?

May not be that interesting just us thought more Islanders would like this

Think that the island has too many people who seem to know, or want to know other people's business. Meeting other couples/people is one thing getting a few strangers to meet up is another,even more so when they aren't on your playdar so to speak...

Also, many others don't use the forums either so might require a status message to reach those that don't.

Too many islanders are afraid of being recognised, everyone wants to know your business here, and not everyone wants to share! We have a job getting a face pic out of people you've arranged to meet, mainland is much easier!

So agree with this, mainland meets are pretty much all that there is. One or two gems excepting.

I’m often over on the IOW with a boat from Hamble always up for a social and maybe a meet
