COUPLES & SINGLE LADIES SOCIAL – SATURDAY 12TH JANUARY 2019 @7.30pm

Hi everyone,

We’re delighted to let you know the date for the next BRISTOL Social – Saturday 12th January 2019.

The event will start at 7.30pm and, as always, we’d love you to attend.

The BRISTOL Social is an opportunity for swingers from across the area to network, have a drink and get to know each other.

The event is open to all validated m/f couples and single ladies (green tick or flag).

If you would like to attend, please register your interest below. This forum post will act as the rolling guest list. We’ll share the event location/joining instructions with the profiles on the guest list a few days before the event.

**Q&A**

Q: When is the event? – A: Saturday 12th January 2019 at 7.30pm.

Q: Where is it? – A: We’re keeping the exact location secret until a few days before the event; however it’s a stylish licensed venue in Bristol city centre.

Q: How much will the event cost? – A: £4 per person, payable on the door.

Q: How do I join the guest list? – A: Write a post below saying you’re coming or email us (Dirty130).

Q: Can we play on the premises? – A: No, this is a social only event. However, there is nothing stopping you taking people home / onwards after the event finishes.

Q: Do we have private use of the venue? A: Yes, until 10pm; after which the venue will open to the public. We are welcome to stay as late as we want.

Q: Who can attend? – A: Any validated (green tick/flag) couple (mf) or single lady (f). All ages and preferences are very welcome.

Q: I’m a single female; can I bring a male partner? – A: Yes, however please remember that you’re attending as a couple. Arrive together; socialise together; leave together.

Q: I’m a single male / CD / TS / TV / MM; can I join the guest list? – A: Sorry no, this is a couples and single ladies only event.

Q: How long will the event last? – A: Officially about 3 hours, however the venue is open until late if you want to stay longer.

Q: Why is the event so early? – A: We want to give people the opportunity to network at the start of the evening, leaving the remainder of the night to go clubbing / drinking or host an after party.

Q: Have you run this event before? – A: Yes, this will be our 11th BRISTOL Social.

Q: How many people are you expecting to attend? – A: The event usually attracts around 200 people.

Q: Can you suggest any hotels? A: We can recommend the Raddison Blu, Broad Quay, BS1 4BY (a good centre for your search); Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre, Temple Way, Bristol BS1 6BF; The Bristol Hotel, Prince St, Bristol BS1 4QF; Mercure Bristol Holland House, Redcliffe Hill, BS1 6SQ.

If you want a premium option, go for the Marriott, College Green, BS1 5TA.

For a budget hotel try Travelodge, Anchor Road, BS1 5TT; Ibis Bristol Centre, Explore Lane, BS1 5TY or Premier Inn, King St, BS1 4ER.

Q: When will you tell us the location? – A: We're keeping the venue under wraps until the week before (for obvious reasons). We will send everyone on the guest list full joining instructions the Monday before the event.

Q: We look young, do we need ID? – A: Yes, if you’re under 25 please bring ID.

Q: What’s happening afterwards, are there any plans? A: We’re just running the social; what happens afterwards is totally up to you.

Q: We’ve never been before, what is the dress code? – A: Think stylish bar/club rather than pub. Ladies: Sexy night out in town (eg. LBD, cocktail dress) | Men: Smart casual (smart jeans and a shirt is fine).

Q: What can I/we do to help? – A: Promote the event, tell your friends, post it in your status and encourage people to sign-up. It is what you make it!

Honest, if you did that you’d just be doing the same thing as the social. It will be my first time to this one and I will have just moved to Bristol by then and I can guarantee you will be welcomed warmly.

"**Q&A**

Q: When is the event? – A: Saturday 12th January 2019 at 7.30pm.

Q: Where is it? – A: We’re keeping the exact location secret until a few days before the event; however it’s a stylish licensed venue in Bristol city centre.

Q: How much will the event cost? – A: £4 per person, payable on the door.

Q: How do I join the guest list? – A: Write a post below saying you’re coming or email us (Dirty130).

Q: Can we play on the premises? – A: No, this is a social only event. However, there is nothing stopping you taking people home / onwards after the event finishes.

Q: Do we have private use of the venue? A: Yes, until 10pm; after which the venue will open to the public. We are welcome to stay as late as we want.

Q: Who can attend? – A: Any validated (green tick/flag) couple (mf) or single lady (f). All ages and preferences are very welcome.

Q: I’m a single female; can I bring a male partner? – A: Yes, however please remember that you’re attending as a couple. Arrive together; socialise together; leave together.

Q: I’m a single male / CD / TS / TV / MM; can I join the guest list? – A: Sorry no, this is a couples and single ladies only event.

Q: How long will the event last? – A: Officially about 3 hours, however the venue is open until late if you want to stay longer.

Q: Why is the event so early? – A: We want to give people the opportunity to network at the start of the evening, leaving the remainder of the night to go clubbing / drinking or host an after party.

Q: Have you run this event before? – A: Yes, this will be our 11th BRISTOL Social.

Q: How many people are you expecting to attend? – A: The event usually attracts around 200 people.

Q: Can you suggest any hotels? A: We can recommend the Raddison Blu, Broad Quay, BS1 4BY (a good centre for your search); Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre, Temple Way, Bristol BS1 6BF; The Bristol Hotel, Prince St, Bristol BS1 4QF; Mercure Bristol Holland House, Redcliffe Hill, BS1 6SQ.

If you want a premium option, go for the Marriott, College Green, BS1 5TA.

For a budget hotel try Travelodge, Anchor Road, BS1 5TT; Ibis Bristol Centre, Explore Lane, BS1 5TY or Premier Inn, King St, BS1 4ER.

Q: When will you tell us the location? – A: We're keeping the venue under wraps until the week before (for obvious reasons). We will send everyone on the guest list full joining instructions the Monday before the event.

Q: We look young, do we need ID? – A: Yes, if you’re under 25 please bring ID.

Q: What’s happening afterwards, are there any plans? A: We’re just running the social; what happens afterwards is totally up to you.

Q: We’ve never been before, what is the dress code? – A: Think stylish bar/club rather than pub. Ladies: Sexy night out in town (eg. LBD, cocktail dress) | Men: Smart casual (smart jeans and a shirt is fine).

Q: What can I/we do to help? – A: Promote the event, tell your friends, post it in your status and encourage people to sign-up. It is what you make it!

Not wishing to start an argument but not everything in this world has to cater for everyone. We don't meet tvs/cd.. we're not discriminating it's just our preference. If the hosts decide to put the time and effort in to organising a party based on there preferences than that's there choice.

Maybe be proactive and organise your own fully inclusive social instead of criticising someone else's?

We have all the respect in the world for people's life style choices but why those choices should entitle someone to attend a private event is lost on us. As for single males, there's a lot of really decent genuine ones but sadly there's to many who ruin it. Trying to single out the good from bad is almost impossible so a blanket ban is usually the only option.

Is a concert that doesn’t play your favourite music discriminating? What about a restaurant that doesn’t serve food you like? Or a street that you cannot afford to buy a house on? Or a job that’s asking for qualifications you don’t have?

Sometimes things are arranged for groups that don’t include you. Rather than share your sour grapes or throw this tantrum on forums, as someone suggested, put in your own efforts to arrange an event that allows for single men to go along, or find one that does.

I appreciate everybodys opinion and i of course understand that the organisers have the right to invite who they want I also no many couples who will boycott clubs and socials if they exclude single males. They are probably also many couples as well as single men who can be a pain in ass and be classed as time wasters on here. Next time i might get hold of a single lady friend and attend the social as im sure they are really good nights out with some nice people :

...and yet this particular, popular social attracts over 120 people, whilst the socials I run are boycotted by some couples and single women because of some single men, the vast majority of which simply fail to show up or fail to tell me they aren’t coming.

We are talking socials here, not clubs and this post you made was nothing like the first one, the tone of which wasn’t nice at all.
